  1. did you request it?
  2. got an approval note from Brett, so maybe now it works for everyone?
  3. was this a power we used to have? I don't remember.
  4. this is an on-going glitch in the matrix. we're hoping that finally getting the forum software updated will fix it.
  5. does anyone have a valid copy/link to whatever this was?
  6. safety aside, it's the constant fighting between the two rigs while moving down the road. it was never, ever smooth like pulling a trailer. braking, turning, going perfectly straight down the road. it just always sucked and made for a mentally draining ride. but your CJ weighs less, so maybe it'll be better? I guess it certainly wouldn't hurt to tool around town and find out. be sure to attempt a few panic stops. the angle of the tow bar can induce scary weirdness in the tow rig when hard braking occurs, especially if not going perfectly straight at the time. if you flat tow behind a rented box truck it'll be a bit less cash. at least that way the tow rig is massive.
  7. I'm never trying it again unless the tow rig weighs at least twice the towed rig. honestly I'd keep the tow bar on and drive the Jeep. I did 3k miles in my pos to get to moab.
  8. flat towing is nothing like pulling a trailer.
  9. I don't understand the concept of "I already have an axle so I don't need another." grab now, use later.
  10. don't have time to watch much tv these days, but I absolutely watched the hell out of battlebots' first run on Comedy Central 25 years ago.
  11. should be a writeup on that in the link in my signature. if your rear tires are locking up first, you may need to add an inline prop valve to the rear line.
  12. snap us a couple pics of the part under the hood that looks like a proportioning valve. if you still have the original combo valve, then you'll need to plug the bypass line output. if you have an XJ prop valve swapped in, then there's nothing to plug and that line that's dripping likely leads no where and it's just dripping the fluid that's trapped inside. how well does the truck stop if you step hard on the brakes?
  13. did they swap in a regular prop valve up front?

  15. don't fear the extra RPMs. the engine doesn't care and your fuel economy will be roughly the same. once you get used to the change, you'll never want to go back
  16. yeah, our forum software has been glitchy lately.

    House windows

how many windows are we talking about here? couple or whole house?
  18. I never want to own a Jeep with less than 4.10s (unless keeping it stock is the priority) I even have 4.10s in my diesel Liberty
  19. over the years I've seen so many owners give up on their engine (or even the whole truck!) over hidden issues like that, it warms my heart when someone takes the time to dig in and do some proper diagnostics.
  20. ouch! long or short? got the skills to splice in a whole new rear frame section? I've got a clean rear frame next to the barn.
