the factory difference in axle width front to back is negligible and the effect on handling if they don't match perfectly is also negligible. this might apply to a high end performance car (except that there have been plenty of performance cars that don't have matching widths), but certainly not our our old trucks.
do as you see fit. personally I'd add spacers to the rear only and get them to better match the front from a visual perspective.
rear pass window failed and rolled itself down. tomorrow I'll tear into it and see if it's one I've repaired already. also my tire is contacting my windshield washer pump during turns, causing a leak and draining out all the fluid. I may have to address that. big tires for life
on the plus side, I made 4 runs into town to pick up 2 loads of wood and 2 1000# trips of gravel and she mostly behaved herself
with enough headsup I can do most any day. and as I tell everyone that swings by: start writing down a wish-list. my stuff isn't really setup for browsing.
300 (minus caps) for whichever you feel is the nicest one. if you don't want to come browse the rest of my stuff, my folks are heading to Tryon in like a week and I'd wager I can get them to bring it along.
I can't even imagine being an OG owner. like, no other owners have screwed up my wiring, or forgotten to change the oil for 20k, or jumped it and tweaked the frame and hid it under some underspray.
congrats! I'm super jealous!
offhand I don't know for sure. 86 has a lot of weirdness. but it should be fairly easy to test each with a multimeter or test light. it'll have the same 5 wires as the plug above.
