  1. Harsh to call it a bastardized mess. A lot of work, planning, and expense went into it to get it to the stage it's in, especially when you look at what they started with in the link. Rusty beginning. I like how it looks, very much. Functional, who knows. It's not for me. I do think however this might be another Ebay game vehicle; set a huge reserve that will never be met, auction ends, then the sale goes back channel to the highest bidder (or 2nd, 3rd, 4th) until they secure a buyer. It's become common since Ebay stopped charging listing fees. I may be wrong, but :dunno:

  3. It's a Renix. That's what they do. Start with the basics. Do a good tuneup; new cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires, etc. Read through Cruiser's tips and clean up / refresh all electrical grounds. Don't even think about new injectors yet unless they are leaking. http://comancheclub.com/topic/36382-cruisers-renix-tips/
  4. I went with new General MT springs years ago as my originals were pretty sagged out. And I wanted a little lift in the rear end. Below is a pic of my truck when I first bought it. The axle was centered left-to-right, but was too far forward; no idea why. The new springs brought the axle back and centered in the wheel wells.
  5. Is the new sway bar binding by any chance? And it does look like the shackle bushings are shot..........
  6. Si Alex? I have to do this too - getting rid of the column shifter soon.......... Image Not Found
  7. It's standard 1/8" NPT. Plugs available anywhere. Use a brass plug with a couple of wraps of teflon tape. Easy peasy.
  8. That is one fine radiator. They also make the same model for the 1991 and up MJ/XJ with the tranny cooler line fittings built in. Just curious why you didn't grab that one?
  9. ........for ticket sales only. But the Cowgirls sell out even with what they have now. Dallas can't protect Romo and a Fran Tarkington clone QB like Manziel would be short lived in Dallas.
  10. For 35$ you did très bon. Yes, there is a noticeable difference between the 26mm and 28mm bars, but really not worth the hunt.

  12. Nice poser pic. Axle / springs look good.
  13. IF your MJ is 2WD (RWD, same thing) forget the exploded view, all that is for a 4WD hub/bearing unit - you don't have these. You have a beam axle with a spindle on each side. That spindle has an inner and outer wheel bearing, bearing races, and an inner seal, nothing else. If you jack it up and pull the wheel, it will become immediately apparent. The bearings, races, and inner seal are all contained in the front wheel one-piece rotor/hub. The outer "seal" is the dust cap on the one-piece rotor/hub. Forget all the 4WD stuff that has been posted, it does not pertain to your rig. The only "seal" you need for your 2WD is the one I posted.
  14. GREED comes to mind..........
  15. These are still available from the dealer. Part number 6503520 'bout $3.50/ea. M7x1.00x25 hex bolt.
  16. Same movement and slight clunking noise here Johnny. It just started a couple of weeks ago. I've tightened the crap out of everything underneath and it still clunks slightly when rolling over bumps, mostly on the right side. The only movement I could see was by jacking up each wheel separately, sliding a long 2x4 under the tire, and lifting up and down while a helper is observing the upper and lower ball joints. Had slight movement in all. I have new Mopar ball joints and they are going in next week. AAARG.........

    Fixable?

Fixable? - yes. Feasible ecnomially? - I doubt it. It's most likely an "offshore" aftermarket tank; I think you would be better off springing for a new tank. They are not that expensive.
  18. This happened to me once. Got it out using a muti-strand flexible 18 gauge wire with a small blob of grease on the end. Dabbed it around inside, caught the o-ring, and fished it out through the port hole using a curved dental pick. Was lucky I guess...........
  19. A 15x7" wheel is fine for tires up to 31", which is probably covers the majority of our MJs. Anything larger an 8" wheel is best, like the Ravine, Moab, Canyon, etc. In don't think that the height of the tire matters for the width of the rim just the width of the tire. I would much prefer a 34x9 tire on a 15x7 vs a 15x8. I prefer stock wheels as well. I ran 15x8 Gamblers on my previous MJ. My current build uses stock 16x7 steelies. Yep, that's true - I forgot about the tall skinny tires since I've never had any experience with them. The tire width is directly proportional to wheel width.

  22. 86 MJ, all RWD (2WD) models, front inner seal. There is no outer seal on 2WD. National Seal p/n 6815. Advance. O'reillys, everywhere...............
  23. Thanks. I have turbines mounted now, but do miss the Ravines.......
