  1. I recently replaced my bump stops as they were dry rotted and falling apart. It's easy-peasy if you jack up one side at a time and let everything hang. Off/ On with big channel locks. Use a crow bar between a pair of coils to open them up a bit and slide the old bump stops out and the new ones in.
  2. When did anyone say they were MT springs? Unless it was edited out...........
  3. ^^ One of the comments from a reviewer. I agree. I'm not a fan of the "single color" paint scheme (body, bumpers, fenders, wheels, even windows in this case) on any square-bodied Jeep, especially Wranglers. They need some contrast. IMO it would look a whole lot nicer with matte black fenders. Any US soccer Mom carting her kids around in one of these would be the envy of her peers, and I think they would sell well here. Fiat? :hmm:
  4. I don't know if I love it or hate it. Definitely different......... http://www.jk-forum.com/articles/bronze-god-wrangler-sundancer-concept/

  7. I'd disconnect the return line from the reservoir, drain it, hook the return back up, fill the res with PS fluid, then run the engine while turning the steering wheel stop-to-stop for a minute or two. Repeat until the res drain is all PS fluid.

Agree with most of that. But disregard the last chrome hater statement.
  9. They are fused in the 99 and up XJs at 30A each. I have mine fused at 25A/ea with no problems. They usually pull 17A-22A at startup and run out at 10A-13A.
  10. Good score. The Chryco p/n on the ring gear, 53008041, is half of a factory 4.10 R&P gear set for the 8.25 rear axle. Well done. http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p/JEEP_1998_CHEROKEE/GEAR-KIT--GEAR-PACKAGE-Ring-And-Pinion-GEAR-and-PINION-PACKAGE--Also-Includes-Items-6-8-12-23--and-32-DMF--DMF-Includes-All-Items-In-Box--DMF-Includes/6690314/04720973AB.html
  11. The Hernandez murders were not ignored, but they sure didn't get (and will not get in the future) the publicity that the ongoing Sterling comments will. It's dead people vs. hurt outraged people. It's no contest for me which one should be the major social media headline after analyzing the facts. But only the outraged can make noise and the sports media will milk it for all it's worth, generating more $$ for the networks. That's how it is now. Meanwhile the families of the Hernandez victims are waiting for their day in court with the cards stacked against them.
  12. They all came with shrouds originally. But with age they tended to crack up from vibes and a lot of owners just ripped it out instead of replacing it. Guess they can't afford the $25 it costs from the dealer.
  13. In that case it's time to replace your O2 sensor.
  14. That's it! We visited your island on an Atlantic City casino trip many years ago. Y'all fully recovered from Sandy?
  15. Looks good. Where was this pic taken? It's bugging me because it looks so familiar and I can't place it. :hmm:
  16. The XJ/MJ fans are not "just open", they are shrouded puller fans. Viewed from the back of the radiator
  17. Can't waste those Saturn and Daewoo body parts...............
  18. Do you know you have an exact 4-1/2" lift? If not, remove the too short shocks you have installed, jounce the rear end up and down, then measure the "at rest" distance between the shock mounting pins. Then go to the Monroe link Eagle referred to and search for the correct collapsed and extended lengths you need based on your "at rest" measurement.
  19. Last I remember he was in the Canadian armed forces working as a trucker and doing fine. He also cleaned up his spelling and posted well, and was an enthusiastic guy on the forum. I thought he was a good forum member and was always eager to learn.
  20. Front Outer: National Wheel Bearing # A2 Front Inner: National Wheel Bearing # A6 Both come with the bearing race (cone, cup). These should go in the rotor with the new bearings as they are matched.
  21. The bearing under the dust cap is the one on the outside of your MJ. This should tell you which bearing is the outer. Now you can go on the O'Reillys site, and get the part numbers for the inner and outer bearings. One each required for each rotor. Get the National-brand bearings. Look it up yourself, then repost the part numbers you think are correct and we'll check it for you.

    Pontiac?
  23. The AW4 quick connector thread is metric, (14mmx1.5) and you screwed 1/4" NPT into it? I guess the threads are close, but it ain't right. Here's a site that shows how to get rid of the quick connectors and adapt them to a -6 AN fitting. When my quick connectors give out I'm going to convert to AN fittings and hose as in this link: http://www.stu-offroad.com/engine/aw-4/aw-4-2.htm
  24. He was gang banging and murdering people for years while actively playing pro football for the Patriots and was arrested in 2013. Stupid SOB.............. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Hernandez
