  1. Cool - never knew they existed. http://core-shifters.com/
  2. Why not TEST it first? This ^^. Chances are 99.999% the temp sensor is either open (most likely) or shorted. Disconnect the connector and test for an open or short through the sensor with your ohmmeter. Also make sure you have circuit continuity from the CTS output terminal to the Renix ECU. If you don't know how to use a mulltimeter you should learn, especially with a Renix MJ.
  3. Must be a female thing - my wife likes them too. But she likes her JKU better.

  5. Besides tail lamps, an MJ rear receiver hitch has topped the most wanted list for MJ owners for years since the commercial supply dried up. I'm good to go as I grabbed a couple of the U-Haul hitches before the supply dried up, but hopefully you are going to finally fulfill the need for other CC members. Every MJ with the factory rear step bumper needs a hitch, whether you use it once a week or once a year. Thanks for your efforts so far, and most of all thanks for shutting down all the ad nauseaum "discussions" that have gone on for years on this subject. I've followed your diesel build thread closely, and your work has always been innovative and first class. I would have no hesitations purchasing this hitch if I needed one.
  6. Good to see you're flying the Jeep Pentastar flag in the garage.
  7. Yep. Can't understand why everyone complains about our "small" original mirrors unless it's just to justify their "upgrade" to the ugly 97+ mirrors. I consider it a downgrade. I can see just fine behind me with the stock mirrors, and I'm half-blind. My JK mirrors are huge and distracting and I see too much............. :peek:
  8. Just how do you differentiate what the valving is on the Bilstein 5100 series offroad shocks? All I see are application part numbers specific to lift height.
  9. I don't like the rounded 97+ mirrors on the square MJ unless it had the 97+ front clip, but could tolerate if I had to. But those mirrors pictured above are really hideous mate.
  10. While I like my stroker, there's just so much you can do with the dated and super-heavy AMC based inline six. For an drivetrain upgrade I'd like to throw in a small light 3.6L Pentastar V6 with the the 6-speed auto. The only mod I'd want (at first ) is a RIPP supercharger. In a stock JK this supercharger increases rear wheel HP from 133 to 240, about an 80% increase. In the much lighter MJ, the numbers would be much better. The RIPP supercharger retains good street manners throughout the RPM range, and mileage would be significantly better. Thousands of these SCs have been installed on the 3.6, and they have a great track record for reliabiity. The 3.6 Pentastar weighs significantly less than the 4.0, and of course the MJ is a ton lighter than the JK. For the body I'd do nothing to mine except maybe lower it an inch or two and throw in some suspension mods. The existing D44 will handle the increase no problem. This thing would be a civilized sleeper / monster on the street when you wanted it, and at the same time be modernized, reliable and economical........
  11. Glad they are working out for you. But I still think they are junk.
  12. Smell it. Due to it's high sulfur content it smells like rotted out garbage.
  13. Give them a few more miles. I put four new Sensa-Trac shocks on my truck after I first got it to replace the original stock shocks. After about 5K miles two of the four were blown out; one front and one rear. The other two still had some valve pressure but were on the way out too. They are okay if you are flipping a vehicle and don't want to spend any $$, but for longevity they are junk.
  14. What kind of help are you looking for? :hmm: What it came from? P52104388AA turns up a lot of hits............
  15. Basically the same here, but it varies county to county.
  16. Yeah, but you can't carry guns in a Cali vehicle w/o them amputating your left, err, arm, right? A 1991 cell phone would be a nice touch though............
  17. OP, if it's pulling to the left, it's pulling to the drivers side. Got an angle finder? You can check the caster angle by sticking it on top of the L & R upper ball joint flats and check the positive angle. You must be sitting on level ground. It should be ~7.5* on both sides.
  18. Four................. Image Not Found

  21. Shound be about 12.5V on one end, 9.5V on the other.
  22. She's good for another 25 Mike.
  23. Why didn't you check the TCM first as advised? Many times. :hmm:
  24. Interesting build. HP/Torque numbers peaked out at 33* BTDC with a 66 unit increase on both, with 243HP for the 242. Not too bad. Those HS roller rockers are sweet too.
