  1. Yep. That's it. That picture is even the one I use in my eBay listings. Many of the ash-tray light and the Infinity speakers are from Wagoneers and high level XJs. But like we have found on most stuff regarding the interiors you never know. Honestly, one minute they are a hot item and the next nobody wants them. The ash-tray light bulb is marked 1891 SM1 It does put out a good bit of light for that small space The other thing that I suggest is that buyers replace the small under dash bulbs with GE 906 bulbs . They are just so much larger and just put out so much more light. And well... I have pictures of all that ^ but...now we CANNOT use Google+ for pictures?? WOW
  2. Have done the Pontiac vents before.... years ago before it got so popular (meaning damn every set you find are ex$pen$ive) and I was pretty happy with. Ran them mostly without the drip pans and they worked very well.
  3. There are several nice Clamp-On O2 bungs...even SS. Just watched the latest Engine Masters on MotorTrend on-demand and they used one. Went back and looked. They show it but do not say the manufact. And I know what some would say. "We don't use any clamps...welded front to back". Good for you. So you have a tig in your garage for SS huh? Double lucky. Well unless you have the flex pieces Don showed your gonna break something soon.
  4. That is totally awesome! My roof is covered in sound mat so I'd be all over this. Like it better than the headliner board I paid to have recovered. Where purchased?
  5. Running the Spectre cowl unit on my MJ. ( not my engine but the install is pretty much the same...can't post from Google images ) Only paid ~$100 off eBay for it. Has added sounds good and bad ( bit of a whistle ). As I have continued most unnecessary EGR/Emissions/Vacuum."stuff" and average ~15 mpg with the mixed driving I do. The room in the engine compartment is very nice! It has some issues. Oil changes are a hassle ( oil fil is rest spot for the thing). With the way the Renix valve cover baffles work it seems to suck more oil thru. It is a semi-hard connection between engine and the body seems to transmit more vibrations. Which I think has added to/created some intake/exhaust leakage, which I have not had before.
  6. Great truck, AWESOME Story, Congrats!

  8. mine have served me well... got them for a steal when RockAuto.com put them on clearance. harness already upgraded. the XVs, a harness, AND a good, REAL headlight aim job should make it worth your time, effort and money. now run a set of AutoPal glass housings with standard bulbs...re-aimed them and while I like the XVs the AP setup seems to have a better pattern ( which makes sense) and the two housings with bulbs were less than $30
  9. Very nice. Great job accomplishing what most others will only dream of!
  10. Just to toss this into the mix. Maybe you have decided on a head-unit, maybe not. Recently installed http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X380BT/Pioneer-MVH-X380BT.html?tp=5684 and the whole NO CD player was a tiny bit of a concern, it has turned out awesome. No need to worry about a heavy unit. This thing is only a couple of inches deep. No CD to worry about skipping or getting dust/dirt into the unit.
  11. A zip tie is a great "tool" for the disconnects. Here is a post I contributed to with my XJ... http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/replacing-xj-radiator-requires-quick-disconnect-tools-185502/ (Yeah GAPANDA...long story)
  12. I need to find the mixed-matched pair I got from the local PAP and take a look at them again. 1.) I think they had the front on the back and the back on the front. 2.) At least make some templates and create PDFs if folks want to just make their own.
  13. Where in GA are you located. I have a set of buckets. They are at work. Could get you pictures Monday.
  14. Eh... go with your gut...better to walk away and drive home with something you know vs you know...walking
  15. Feeling better about the 242 I just picked up from my conversion. Remember my XJ Limited had the Full Time option and it was awesome in the rain. Now I just have to find adapter from a 91' that has the adapter for either speedo cable or electronic pickup. From my research the 91 models were unique with this.
  16. Sorry to be the not reading the entire thread guy...but.....go read this... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/definitive-blower-motor-blown-melted-resistor-switch-wire-fix-580627/ it will open your eyes.... if you think no... just go to the junkyard and open up ANY XJ dash and look at the fan switch.... 99% of the ones I have should have caught fire! So sorry again...maybe it's all my emergency training kicking in... don't want to see someone hurt or their truck burn to the ground.
  17. Gotta love those RockAuto discounted parts emails. Think I currently have 8 oil filters in the parts cabinet.
  18. So picked-up a AW4/242 and front D30 this week ( like I needed MORE parts in the garage to "plan" to install) .... Anywho.... looking at the driveshaft measurement info put together looks like there is about a 1" difference between the auto vs manual. Have found a couple of manual driveshafts so the question is.... Since I am running ~3.5 inches of lift should I still be good with the 1" extra length?

    Drive Shaft

Yep.....it's right there hiding, sorta, plain sight just under the main title... 4X4 SWB 4.0L AW4.... but at least you were looking out for me!

    Drive Shaft

Attempting to put together the final parts for my 4X4 conversion. While I know I can have my d/s cut down looking to see if one is available someplace to make the conversion a bit quicker. Willing to pay shipping, since more than likely, this would not be a local item. My truck is an 89 model with a D35 rear. The AW4 which I have is a 91 model with an attached 242J T/C but I do not think the 231/242 makes a difference.
  21. Luckily most of our parts are still available...but....I see the OP idea albeit maybe for a different reason...what happens when it's decided that all the sensors for the "old Jeeps" don't make enough money anymore. Yeah, we can all figure who the hoarders members on here will be. The 4.2 in my 89' Wrangler was a mess with "technology" until I ripped it all out and went aftermarket. It wasn't like our EFI but that computer controlled Carter was just insane. That little YJ ran GREAT after all of it was removed for a Motorcraft 2100 some re-wiring and an MSD box. Still have the broken pinion gear to prove it! Often worried about that poor Jeep and who got it next. If they were not Jeep dedicated and did a little research ( all of what I did had been done MANY times before ) to the un-Jeep-educated it probably looked like a major back-yard/redneck job.
  22. I've completely disassembled and refurbished several sets. However, a picture or two would help me with exactly what you are talking about.
  23. Like the part that Don has linked there. In my experience, yours may differ, the o-ring was not the same as the injectors. And it SUCKS when you cannot get that fuel line pushed back into the FPR. Always keep set of o-rings. I never throw one away no matter the age unless completely damaged beyond use. That policy saved my last FPR/Fuel Line "experience".
  24. Very nice. Very clean. Very Worthy. Great "enhancements" without doing too much to the truck. I don't have that type of restraint!
  25. When you mentioned the heater fan it triggered thoughts of this nightmare of mine... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/definitive-blower-motor-blown-melted-resistor-switch-wire-fix-580627/ http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/definitive-blower-motor-blown-melted-resistor-switch-wire-fix-580627/ I'm still amazed that you don't see Jeeps on the side of the road burning. While looking for parts I probably opened up 50 XJs in the YJ. Several SHOULD have been there because of dash fires. Things were melted beyond belief.
