nice :brows: so what are you going to weld first -
Yesterday I went to Busch Gardens Willaimsburg VA to have some quality with the inlaws and wifey. Well I am a rollercoaster junky, I only go to amusement parks when they put in new coasters :brows: Well Busch hasn't put a new ride in since 99 (apollo's Charriot 210' drop a few loops, pretty cool I thought) Well yesterday I rode the Griffon The Griffon is a floorless dive coaster  and just plain awesome. I am not sure how far the first drop is, but it is taller then apollo's charriot, and striaght down 90* then they have some smaller verts like that, and a few corkscrews. This thing waas pure adrenaline rush... I have done drugs :chillin: that havent given me such a powerful rush. After I rode that I rode Alpinegiest (inverted floorless coaster) in the front car... and it seemed lame, and almost a dipappointment. So If you all come here, you must ride the Griffon after you ride all the other coasters in the park, otherwise you will be disappointed in the rest of your day ;)

You need to distance yourself from her. Take your buddy to the Go Go bar and have a good time. Hook him up with another woman. Stay away from chica loca cause she can ruin your friendship by her manipulative ways

Mud howl Eliminates the need for a steroe.. no matter what you do you won't be able to hear over it. Nice rig man :D

No the shims go next to the carrier then the bearings... No biggie... If you have a bearing seperator and a Press, press you old bearing off, and with a rotoary file clearance the inside so they wil slide on and off, figure out the shims, then when you press the new bearings on all is good.. OR you could spend a few extra buclks a buy a set of setup bearings which all has this done

Where should I start... Working on my CJ I had.. got metal in the eye 7 pieces to be exact  .. The screwed up thing was I was wearing safety glasses, and grinding on some bolts and rusty metal... I wiped my head with my gloves, and I guess from me sweating, the metal/fiberglass dust got in my eye... bad thing is I waited 2 days before seeking treatment  Next working on casper, The tie rod fell from its gravity held position and split my skull. the bad thing was I was home alone ( wifey was teaching VBS) and I was bleeding profusely from the head  Had to wait for har to come home to then have her drive me to the ER I can't tell you how many cuts, and welding burns I have gotten that should have required medical treatment ,and I didnt go get :brows:

Thats whyHEI and old point style systems rule.. less parts to go wrong and easy to figure out -
From what I have gathered info wise... Like was all ready posted a dealer somewhere had an idea to make a dually MJ, and contracted with another company to make it happen... kinda like the Southern Comfort trucks you see riding around from time to time

Most dryer plugs are rated at 30amps, where most welders are rated at 50amps.. just a heads up that you could be setting yourself up for an electrical fire or tipping the breaker often
-
Credit unions don't always have the best rates... At least that is what I found

I bought an xj with a 4.3 in it. It is from a 90 Caprice  and it has a 92 700r4 with an advance adapters adapter to run the 207 t-case (same bolt pattern as the 231) I am still in the process of finishing this project as I bought it to run the drive train in Pong, then plans changed on it. Advance adpaters sell the motor mount kit for 189... then if you do it right and buy a whole parts rig the only other thing you would have to do is get the tranny mount.. and I think the one I have on it is from AA as well. The guy who had this project went through a nasty divorce and his ex made him sell it in the final settlement. I got the whole rig for what he had in the wiring and t-case adapter Back to the project... in order to run the 4.3 using AA kit you need a 3" lift to clear the oil pan, and it also moves the motor over to the passenger side 2". (this is why I didnt strip the rig and swap it into pong, I need all the room I can get on the passenger side due to the setup I am going to be running) -
When I weld up spiders, I weld all four corners as well as fill in the teeth of the spiders. Thefirst time I welded up a carrier the tacks broke the spider gear, and chunks of metal rolled around in my diff til I get a chance to reweld. The i filled all the teeth in, and as far as I know it is still together, and that was 2 yrs ago....

Is that the BDS x-member.. If it is good choice. I was going to use that.. unttil I decided on a doubler -
Isn't this with any vehicle? not my cars or tow rigs Lil bit of advice.. sometimes it is cheaper to swap tubs then it is to repair the one you have. YJ (87-95) wrangler tubs are cheap and "easy" to put onto your CJ frame. I have seen quite a few CJ's around with YJ tubs on them. Key area to watch on the CJ Rear x-mambers over the gas tank mounting points for the roll bar (under the foot plate) Just a lil advice from someone who went through it

Wow. thats a real high rate.... have you looked around online... most of the major credit car companies offer financing for cars. When I had the black 01 xj I went through capital one auto finance.. i think the rate was 6.25

Good luck Taking the ASVAb wasn't bad.. it is the steps that come after that could end up being bad
-
Have you checked it out underneath.. brakes good?If it only has low compresion and the body is rust free... it is a perfect canidate for an engine swap. Keep in mind that engine swaps never go as planned.. so what ever you figure it would cost you tripple that and youu might have an actual budget to start with :brows:

Might as well sap it out for a v-6 like the 4.3. Find a wrecked s-10 thats 4wd( that way you get the right 700r4 tranny) and swap the whole thing. Then call up advance adpaters or Novak and get the t-case adapter and be done with it. -
Well used d300 can get pricey :brows: but the good thing is 32 spline kits aren't that expensive, and 4 to 1 kits are coming down in price as well :brows: If I am not mistaken scout front ends fit nicely with minimal mods as well  or you can out board the springs and swap in a 14 bolt d 60 combo, boatside it and flog the piss out of it :driving:

The reman ones don't last as long as the new pieces. I agree the design is crappy. I had a XJ that had a leaky MC, and it eventually caused a fuse box fire
