I never divulge whee or who has the "dream vehicle" I am loking for is at... Jeepers are like vulchers looking for a fresh kill :brows: The reason why ppl pull front d/s are bad t-case, bad gears/missed matched gears, or bad shaft. If I remember correctly CJ-7 front shafts are not CV style

The problem with angling shocks like that is it takes away from the dampening aspects of them. It is an unatural motion for the shocks to dampening bumps from front to rear if they are angled sideways. Angling them sideways works great for stability, or making what you got work, but shocks were designed to operate best at or near 90*

Well since you don't drink buy him 2 then -
That is the truth. Sometimes it is cheaper and easier to let some one else do all the figuring and you reap the benifits :brows:

amn the whole dating thing scares me worst then it did when I was in the game, Diseases are more rampant now then when I was in the game... upside to that it means the girls are not as prudish and if what you see on the porn sites are any indication of what the younger woman are willing to do... I want one -
The area around there isnt very trucker friendly.. steep hills, narrow roads, but it is close to the interstate
-
Yeah he is a local guy.. lives over in Hampton or at the Beach not sure which. I was going to call them to see if they are going to affer it in a passenger side drop  It would definately speed me up :brows:

Around where I live police love to pull over vehicles towing other vehicle and do safety checks, not worth it to me to get the ticket for flat towing, cause "technically" the vehicle you are towing is suppose to have working brakes cause of the weight. I haven't heard of ppl getting a ticket for that offense while flat towing, but have for inop signals

Before I went to work at the mill... I was an IronWorker, and had to travel to stay employed. In the summer I would head North.. winter I would head South. Worked a lot of shutdowns and retrofits at mills, and factories. It always sucked. Seemed like you would get layed off right before or after a holiday, but such was the life. -
PAP was/is a great place.. maybe they will win the legal battle. I think our club is going to do a Rausch creek run.. I hope to have my junk together for that one

The first tim eI went It rained both days :( and the weather sucked. I drove Pong (was street legal then) from the campsite to the park  Talk about wet/cold and good times We ran mostly high blues and low blacks that time.. it was great... didnt break anything :D Next trip... man it was a great trip... first obstacle I broke a chromo shaft, and tore a side wall :ack: The bad thing about breaking the shaft was it broke inside the carrier... had to tear apart the whole front end to fix it :wall: Then I day two I was having a blast till someone found a newer trail and picked that to run Well that turned out to be a big mistake... I ended up breaking another axle shaft, frying my alt, busting my rad, all while trying to pull my self up a 400 yard long hill :wrench: Talk about fun

I can attest to the strength of the stock one.. I have had my whole jeep high centered on it before. It finally bent past the shape of useable after I tried to teeter my jeep on it  -
Depends... i would definatley keep an eye on your oil and coolant for the next few days. Side note why did you over heat it
-
my bet is on the distributor gasket... will present it self as any number of normal spots, and will make you think you done something wrong. That doesnt really sound like the problem at the moment though. It sounds like you might have a worn out motor. If the oil light is coming on, and the dipstick is reading full, it means no oil(or it has low pressure) is passing by the sending unit. This is normally caused by extreme wear.. running the motor on its side, or a bad oil pump

PAP is one of my all time favorite places to wheel. I like the fact that most of the trails can be scouted so you can pick your line before you get there. Love Shebert rocks... I think that is its name.... that snake pit and I planned on running valley of the dogs next time I went... guess there won't be a next time

I can totally relate about the job situation. My company has put out a hiring freeze, and the have done a few things to hourly slots, which forced me back a job level. Lets just say I lost 5 bucks an hour.. so I feel your pain. Good luck with the job... remember working outside sucks :brows: -
A couple of questions.....
pingpong replied to CWLONGSHOT's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When Pong was running the d30 I always carries a spare stub and wheel bearing. I can't tell you how many ppl have used my spare wheel bearing or how many ppl I sold spare axle shafts to, cause they thought they didn't need them  -
it does appear to be a white xj and red jeep going through some mud
