Thank again guys... Pete first plan is to change the cage in the Turd... so Avery has a seat in the back middle. Then I am going to work on a 24volt jeep buggy thing. She all ready has a 6 volt quad she rides the heck out of. As for beating the Big C.. it is amazing I am under 40 and have had two different forms of cancer all ready.. I am praying there isnt a third.
-
Thanks guys. My lil one is just awesome and takesa lot of spare time and money, but she is so worth it. Thanks on the rides comment. It has taken yrs for them to be so cool.

I also now have a 16 month old baby girl named Avery.. and life is awesome. Lastly I just syrvived my 2nd battle with cancer, and I am now getting back to work soon. here is a pic of my xj 2 weeks ago at the Cove campground here is the start of the rear of my truggy... with the actual tires I am using the cage work on the rear 75% done

A lil more work happened yesterday.. Woody tacking tubes together Side view... talk about a PITA to get the angles the way we wanted them. Front view.. Tody will plate Make some motor Mounts, and start tieing new frame into old frame By plating it. The motor is a true PITA to get out.. There is only 1/2 between the winch x-member bar and the front Pulley on the motor... Luckily nothing in the way anywhere else. -
Looks like the guy took a hammer to the rig.. not sure why.. but they are dented up  This would have been a cool rig to fix.. but it is more work then worth
-
wel today I went and picked up another free rig. This time I got a 2dr xj that was involved in a front end accident. Of course when I got it.. all the class was busted out of it :huh???: But it runs... Plans are to clear 33's with no lift, and enter it into the May Mudbog that is held about 20 miles from my house. Plans are to let anyone drive it that wil pay their fee and if it survives the bog.. I plan on seeing how high I can get it to jump before I take it to the crusher :dunno:

I got ejected from a golf cart during the punkin run in 09.. ending up breaking my right leg bad enough to require 13cm'c of steel 5 screws and a bone graft to fix, as well as breaking my left foot
-
Well I did some work on a Tattoo shop owners jeep.. so I get some ink done. First piece was for the golf cart incident. It is a Ed roth inspired design. The second one was done at the Local tattoo convention. It took roughly 9hrs. but was done in three sittings do to time and other clients. Talk about a painful tat. BTW back of the calfs suck.

Picked up 180' of tube the other day  Well today sold Pongs old motor Then work started. First had to bolt the doubler, and drivetrain together Then with a bunch of pushing shoving I got the motor in position.. but jack stands are 2 short so I have to cut and add some stuff to the bottom.. but this is close I still plan on raising the whole setup another 2", but this gives you an idea of what the inside looks like -

Plasma, sawzall, and Hammer  Inner fenders gone Well if you thought I was going to stop there  Then to top it all off I rough notched the fenders so I could dovetail the nose a lil  Today I will be checking on DOM prices and cleaning up the frame and d300.. nothing really special. Aslo wil be installing an ARB in my D44 so the Turd project can keep going -

Wrenching at my Buddy Woody's shop. ABout 10 min up the road from me. Much bigger shop. I forgot to mention... the frame is going to change a lot... It is going to mostly be 13/4x.120.. and 1/4 plate. No need to sacrafice ride height, packaging so I can have a bad design. Less is more in my case -

Work is happening First order was to get it mobile again. Thanks to a spare 2wd beam, and some trailer tires she was mobile again Cause we are changing the cage work front and rear.. work has started Well that is all... plan is to shorten the front by 1' and re do al the tubes behind the cab. It will be too hard to make the tubes look cool and work right with links.. so it all has to change  -

Must have been a while ago. Paragon closed, what, four years ago? Thats about how long ago it was  But like I said life got in the way, and Pong took a back bumper while I wheeled my xj and collected parts. Picked these up today Then had major setbacks on my other project..like the yoke I ordered was made wrong so.. getting my rear axle setup is now on hold till I figure that out... So looks like I will swap in a 2wd beam to get Pong to the shop where the 4.3/700r4 will be installed at Here is a pic of the Turd in my temp garage Mounting my 36's on 32 Bead locks Some of the parts for the turd build -
Well Not on here much, but figured I would post up. As seen when truggy work was done Well after a trip to Paragon where I broke a bunch of parts I started buying crap.. then life happened.. and kept happening. Fast forward a few yrs and here we go. Thanks to some trading... I know have just about everything I need plus some help thrown in. PLan is 4.3TBI/700r4/231/d300, D60,14 FF. On 39.5 iroks on DIY bead locks. 3link with 2.5 airshocks, rear will be 4 link with 2.0 air shocks  :agree: Also plan on changing the rear cage a lot, to shorten it up and make it more stable. Pics wil follow as work progresses. At the same time I am building my Chop top XJ  It is going full width and to 36's So work is happening fast and furious. Big dogs is only a month and a lil away

OK.. I am redoing my truggy, and I want to skin the rear tubes with bed sheetmetal so it will look like a MJ.. instead of a bunch of tube.. Let me know what you got Thanks Pat

Just posting some pics of my twin sticks. First pic is of my cases in 2wd second pic is of crawl box being in 4lo, and rear case being in 2wd high.. therefore giving me 2wd low if both sticks are to the rear... I am in double low. It is going to take some getting used to using the twin sticks, and picking the right gears in the tranny as well. I can now start my truck in double low, and 5th gear:driving:
-
to be honest it is more work then it is worth to do it the way I did it. If I had the cabbage a 3spd atlass would have been awesome  and 1 million times easier
-
Oh yeah it will give me a huge advantage. I should be able to just about idle over anything i want. Today I also added a aux cooler to help with the power steering from over heating.
-
Well this part of the Project is done. Got the floor installed, twin sticks mounted, and seats in. I even test drove it. Double low, and first gear is so slow that it doesnt register on my gps:drool: 5th gear in double low... to the floor registers 15mph:smiley-laughing021: Floor is coming together. Used a lot of an old xj floor, as well as a healthy amount of 16 guage. Here I am messing with the placement of the twin sticks Here the seats and twin sticks are in place. The celice seat are actually really comfortable
