Question: Best Tow Hook mounting options?
pingpong replied to jpfrogger's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The only real differenc between the way Jeff got my bumper and the way it looks is we cut the rock rails off. Hopefully soon I will have a few mocked up and ready for sale. Been kinda hard to make time for ppl to come by so I can final weld brackets to bumpers and put them on the market -
I would like them to stop because I don't want to buy no lights or tow straps, and 2 pages full of that is enough

Diversity training is where they sit you and your co-workers in the same rooom, and explain to you the changing face of the work force, and that we are all different for varios reasons. Learned some interesting things Only 2% of the worlds population has a college degree 9% of the workforce is ghey or lesbian

I think ebay has its place in the jeeping world, but damn some sellers insist on listing mutiples of the same item 10 or 15 times. I buy some things of ebay, only if the shipping is in line with what the part costs

I am not sure about where you live.. you can use it like an ATV or boat... thats how I argue with the county over my Offroad toys. I pay my property tax on them, and they treat it like they are boats or quads, as long as they are not in a visible state of disassembly over 90 days -
I use my 9" grinder and the big flap wheels :D ... and the 4.5 grinder actually has a grinding wheel in it, and the trusty S/S wire brush.. Just turn the heat up and break out the 6011 :brows:

Why do some sellers insist on listing 20 of the same item on every stinking 4x4 listing. What does tow straps and offroad lights have to do with a MJ. I just hate wadding through 4 pages of nothing but offroad lights and tow straps to realize there is nothng I need or want

Lock the front... as pointed out if you are going uphill the front might not be getting full traction, but it is easier to pull then push, and more often then not the front will/ can drag the rear over an obstacle. At least from my experience if can get my front tires on it.. I can make it

I was going to say something about the weight too. Also you have to think a lil about the areo on it.. if it has a shape of a wall, it will tow like poo poo

I wouldnt modify anything on the intake... you can always send that back. Now since you have your 4.0 intake off why not have it modded to work with the Pane... just an idea -

The great thing about buggies/truggies.... you don't need a title -
I personally thought his link angles where way off, and the fact that he has adjustment at one end and a fixed flex joint at the other. We have a guy in the club who runs 1/4 ellipticals, and he has his set up so the frame end literally is on a bushing, increasing flex by 10X IIRC he only has the 2 upper links though

don't forget you will need a shielding gas bottle and extra tips... make them thow that stuff in. When it comes to welders and boobs.... bigger is better

For me to learn Spanish it cost Uncle Sam (U.S. Army), 2 weeks of pay while I went to immersion spanish class. Then I went one step further and took Spanish 1 in Panama Canal College on Base. I live in a rural farming and seafood area, where spanish speaking ppl are the norm 9 months out of the year. For the most part they are here working for 1 thing... that is to better them and their family finacially. If we as Americans won't do the work, and won't pay what it cost to have an American do the work we will be reliant on "cheap" Foriegn labor forever. Why do you think it cost 30 grand for a pick up.. it is cause the UAW says everyone who works there is entitled to make 25+ an hour, and is entitled to retire after 20 yrs of service. If farmers and Americans won't pay the same price for labor to pick vegtables the American economy will be forever linked to immigrant labor By no means does this represent the views of my fellow jeepers or this site. I am also a proud member of PACE (paper and chemical engineers) and I have been recently put through diversity training at work

I hate to tell you but the latin ethnic group is the fastest growing group of ppl in the United States  On top of that they leverage some of the largest market share of disposable income  Also while you bash anothers lack of education did you think that they might not have the "extra" income to take an english class. I applaud this man for trying to learn "their" language so he can better serve them. I am fluent in spanish as I lived In Panama for 3 yrs, and I learned spanish through having to live it, and choosing not to be the "dumb" gringo. This is why you see immigrant groups all settle in one area. Go to a large city that has a large immigrant population and you can go to areas where ppl have lived in the United States for 20+ yrs and never learned the langauge, cause they never left where they lived

front driveshaft lengthen
pingpong replied to 88swampedmj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If you have locking hubs, making your own d/s is perfectly acceptable. it is also acceptable on a rig that won't see over 20MPH, anything else I would have one made. If you are doing a shackle reversal on the front you will need a longer slip spline.. due to the added flex. I wish I had the clearance to use 1.5x.250 tubing for a front shaft... as is I am going to have to grind on the side of my Tranny to clear a custom shaft  -
PBB use to make you pay to use the search function, and to post pics... but since all I do is lurk.. thats cool with me. Naxja became an overgrown PBB a while back and I stopped posting and visiting it 2 yrs ago.
