  1. For that price you can probrably buy LCA's with flex joints and not bushings in them. I am not to impressed with the way the uppers seem to get real small at the joint. These are the kinda item where you do get what you pay for
  2. Cut the sheetmetal and call it good :brows:
  3. That sucks that a tre got you. You can try and beat the dents out... or just truggy it. The first dent is the worst one... now bash it like it is stolen and call it good :D
  4. I bought my np203 adapter off an auction where it was listed as a transmision mount  I paid 37 bucks with shipping.. they nomally go for 75+ :brows:
  5. Anything can be moved :brows: You might have to run some tube and some sheetmetal to make a new panel, but it can be moved :brows: I think I am going to go the same rout on my junk... but I plan on loosing all my inner panels  and then some serios cage work
  6. pingpong

    ACOS....

    Hydraulic bump stops :agree:
  7. LIke said size the guy up... a stroker goes for 2500 and up, and then to have it installed . Short of pulling the head there is no way to tell. Most ppl I have heard of installing strokers have had to do custom fuel things like bigger injectors and such. As for the guy not being knowledgeable... that screams run to me. If the guy was a wheeler... he would know what he had, just because our sport is a braggers sport. It all about who has the biggest nads and such :brows: Even if you don't brag.. if someone asks what you got.. you are more then happy to tell them about all the gizmo's and custom tricks you have done :brows:
  8. I refinanced a few yrs ago and went with a Mortgage broker.... basically he found me the cheapest rate possible and charged a set fee. I think his fee was 900 bucks or something... and he found me an intrest rate that was 2 points lower  which was great. Watch out for the brokers who fee you to death, or try and charge you more cause you are not borrowing that much. In my case I was only refinancing what I owed, and moving from a 30yr to a 15yr. One broker I talked said I wasn't borrowing enough... so he would have to charge me extra  I said nope.. and went on to the next broker. Also watch out for the ones who charge 30and up for overnighting papers. UPS and Fed Ex only charge like 12 bucks for it  I also don't know how much you owe compared to appraised value... you can negotiate out of the Mortgage insurance.. which can add 50 to 100 bucks to your payment.. and you don't get nothing for it.
  9. Honestly don't look to hard to make :brows: I wonder why Warn stopped making it though
  10. NO matter how much money you drop into a 4 banger its still a 4 popper :brows: Best swap for the money is a propane injected 350 from a fork truck
  11. The reason why shops charge more to lengthen the shaft is more work. MOst shops use new tube, which means they have to cut out 2 welds, as well as re-weld 2 joints, and rebalance. When they shorten a shaft they only cut one end, thus 1/2 the work, and they re-use your old material, thus no cost... As for needing the SYE.. well thats a personal matter, but I say with that much lift and if it is wheeled I say yes
  12. Advance Adapters sell the engine bracket kit for around 180.... Since you are going 2wd it don't matter that it moves the engine over to the passenger side an inch. As for cooling... I would look into a quality aftermarket aluminum one that will fit the opening, and then plumb it... I havent got that far in my project... I am still debating on using a MPFI 4.3 or a propane 350
  13. I know a place up by you that will retube and balance your stuff for around 100
  14. Well I just went and picked up steel to start making bumpers. Fot the ppl interested in BUYING one I need a few questions answered. Do you want it built out of 2"x4"x1/8 rectangular tubing 2'X4"x1/4 C channel Do you want it with or with out rock rails? Flush mount or Wrap around I will be offering the rock rail option with a no Cut version as well. The no cut version will be slightly higher due to the use of more steel, and shipping might be a touch higher due to added weight. The C channel one will weigh about 10 -15 pouinds more then the one with tubing. If you have a custom idea.. let me know, and I am sure I can accomadate something. I only have access to a SWB rig to make a jig off of at the moment, so LWB Sliders might be available shortly, but SWB will be available as soon as I get measurements (monday)
  15. Can you take some pics of how RE mounts their LA's. I have the Terra flex Kit and it uses a similar setup, but by the looks of it... uses more bolts. I too HAD Terra's Hi-steer knuckle.. I was some what pleased with it, but wish I would have spent the money on my D60 from the start :brows:
  16. I never met a jeep that didnt need a lil trimming :brows:
  17. Go to the auto parts store and ask for the Mr. Gasket catalog.. they have some nice perches in there for 12 bucks.... Or you can go buy some 2x3x1/4 tubing and make your own :brows: Nice practice if you just bought a plasma cutter
  18. The great thing about hydro boost braking is you still have ample pressure even after the motor dies to hold a hill.
  19. I am/ was running a Rigidco FBW. the bumper was and is a work of art. http://www.rigidco.com/FbW.htm
  20. Just look at my 89, it doesn't have a tee. PO may have just used that instead of replacing the hose. :dunno: Thats what I was thinking
  21. Only if a beer could make me feel the same way a woman does would I totally give them up.... also if they could earn some money like my wife too :brows:
  22. Early D35 came with the screw in fill plug
  23. I am preeping to swap in a 4.3 and the way I look at it.... If I have firewall problems I can move the engine forward :smart: No matter how you look at it... I6 motors are just physically bigger then a v-8 or a v-6 :smart: I am sure this is becoming a popular swap as well, so check with Advance Adapters or Novak Conversions. Also some lurking on Pirate might yield some good answers.. Just ask politely through a PM if they can give you any help.... ask in an open forum and get flamed. I would start checking in the jeep non hardcore/newbie then go to the jeep hardcore section, or the Cherokee group section
  24. You can look at the Cherokee grille guards... the XJ and MJ are the same as far as that goes
  25. That showed the ppl who did it have a lot of time and electrical tape/duct tape on hand. Still real cool
