‘88 Sportruck 4x4

November 2020… Finally found an MJ! Needs a new transmission, some small things fixed and some TLC but it’s solid. Can’t wait to get started! 323k miles so it must be doing something right. 

 

Decided that although it’s not period correct, I really like the retro look of the ‘86 XLS orange decals so I took my time and put some on my ‘88. Really happy with the way it came out. Decided not include the giant 4X4 on the door or the lower body, black decals

Looks great! I really dig the stripes and the front bumper.

Orange-on-white stripes look killer!  I do think it would look better with the 4x4 decal, though.

Thanks guys! Installed my NickInTimeDesign REM today. Mounted it just above the power/comfort switch that I never use and ran the CAT5 cable through an existing plug near the master cylinder.

I used to have rims like that. Painted them a matte black and ran them for a bit. Till I found the 5 spokes. Looks nice. Definitely an 80’s piece.
