The issue with identifying lots of these cars when they are very similar in year and the same parent company, is that you pretty much need to ID them by their moldings.

My score was 96%, 46 out of 48.

I messed up on the 52 and 54 Mercury I think it was.

Most of these cars were off the road by the time I started driving in 1980.

I have always been interested in cars

(and trucks and motorcycles)

Especially before the safety bumper era. (1973 and newer)

I was talking to somebody about this today... I think it is a trend for people to be most interested in vehicles made right around their birth (+- 7 years or so). I have lots of interest in 1987-2001 vehicles but not a ton of interest in much before or after those dates.

There are a few outliers but that is for any automotive enthusiast I think...

It was about the same.  I don't know Mopar very well at all and if it's not a Mustang, I don't really know Ford all that well either.  Especially when it's between two consecutive model years.

You got 81% (39 right out of 48). The average score is 73%.  Guess i don't like SAAB and VOLVO ..... Do i get a green card now?

Just claim you were 'Born in East L.A.'.

Well I successfully educated guessed my way to 42%.  I'd like to see one of these for each generation, would be cool to test which generation we are most familiar with.  I don't think I'd ace any generation tho, there are so many cars in the mainstream outside the popular ones that we don't pay any attention to.

95% 42 out of 44. I got the 66 and 67 chevelles wrong.

Anything 67-68 is easy. 68’s have side markers, 67’s don’t.

Chrysler 68s have round marker lights, dunno about the others

You have yourself a couple of fine looking carriages.

There was another car in the early 50's that I did not know about until about 5 years ago.  It is thought that only 198 were made.

1953 Muntz Jet

+Thank you Sir.

The 57 was well used when I got it.. No motor, trans, interior 3 coats of paint holding the rust in. I did most of the work except for the finish body work and paint. The Excalibur is a factory original.

if that is true (only a rule of thumb at best of course) it would make sense since those types of rides would be what's on the road and what's available for purchase to a kid when you first start to drive.  lord knows my first cars/trucks weren't new.
