I keep some packaging also.

I also like to keep the shipping label. This is the label for the shift knob I bought. Same dealer had it in the shelf since 2/12/99.

Ive got a collection of the old 80's shipping labels from both Chrysler and AMC. Really neat and we can thank AMC for giving us the parts distribution system Chrysler has now.

Took us hours even with overhead winch to unload the bench.  Bet it weighs 800 pounds !

Do you Still have pics of it assembled?  And the pic of it strapped & bolted to Liberty is a classic “where there’s a will there’s a way”

post up picture when U get tailgate hung :)

Found 2 NOS tow hook kit’s 🤟

.... but tow hooks sold separately.D218659B-E473-4CB7-B446-48DFBCF05E49.jpeg.701446746dcece3c5b4e3eacceeabae3.jpeg

one for MJ and one for XJ Chief

chief needed as required for hidden winch kit.

I’m thinking of Chrome hooks for Chief & black for MJ Eliminator.
Do the common Warn store bought hooks have same bolt pattern to fit the mounts?

Yeah they look exactly the same. They actually look more like the WJ era hooks than the MJ/XJ ones but thats ok, no one will know. Except me. I think the XJ/MJ ones are a bit taller at the mounting point but that's all I see different. Also tow hooks only came in "bright" from what I have seen for our era trucks.

Something tells me that late in the MJ part support, Chrysler had the Comanche nameplate look like the 94-96 Cherokee nameplates. Really odd though. Did the nameplate have any original packaging? If so there should be a date code on it.

Anyone ever seen a Comanche nameplate that wasn’t chrome?

this silver nameplate in middle of picture is NOS original

I'm going to say no, unless somebody has a part number otherwise. Only know of two part numbers, the 55014472 and the earlier 86-87 emblem .

I know some guys were remaking emblems, and that may be a nice example of it.I know some guys were remaking emblems, and that may be a nice example of one.

Got these nameplates from grandson of deceased Jeep employee.

The silver one is metal, so not a printed reproduction.

i have seen other Jeep parts changed in appearance but continue the same part #.

found a home for it. :D  (I'd been saving that spot for an eventual tailgate, though I'd never thought it'd be NOS.)  I found a kinda-shiny handle and cap for it too.

I think I found our answer

The catalog is really weird but alot of MJ specific stuff say MYI/MYO(Model year in/out) 1986/1993 for MJ stuff and even some stuff say like that nameplate for 1993. Something tells me Chrysler had an MJ planned for 93. I accidentally stumbled upon this for a 91 MJ.

So I talked to my good "In the Know" friend that worked at Jeep for many years.  And the MJ was planned for 93 and there was a factory photo shoot.

Been plugging away on F350, LJ and daughters 01 XJ

Daughters 01 XJ with 3.5” lift, the front sits nose down, so instead of pucks, got 4.5” Metalcloak coils.  Pet peeve of mine that a 4x4 should have level stance.

Anyway, Metalcloak had sale & free shipping... so got MJ trackbar & control arms.  Hoping the 3.5” coils will be level with 3” Alcan rear springs with winch.

Looking for nice HP30 non-disco 3:55’s

I lost the photo on my phone in front of Red's Comanche but y'all, these pictures do not do that XJ justice... That thing is damn near spotless.
