Another month and she will be running....Dealing with a $#!& load of electrical issues.

Yeah, that's the part that took the longest on my build too.  But, once they're working good and well built like you're doing, they shouldn't be any problems with it later. :)

Also decided to upgrade the secondary door seals to the 97+ version. They are much more substantial and should help reduce the door pillar noise. Had to mount a 1/2 x 1/2 strip of aluminum on the A Pillar. Then mounted the seal. It is basically the same as the door seal.

Please elaborate on how you did the 97+ door seals :)

I took a piece of 1/2 x 1/2 aluminum and cut one side in four places so I could bend it to contour the door frame. I then drilled holes to match the existing holes in the door frame. I used plastic retainers to hold the strip. At the top it is very tight so I clipped one side off the top of the retainer so the hole could be tight up against the bend on the aluminum angle. You need enough space for the back of the trim. Also because the retainers have a low profile it let's the seal sit down properly on the aluminum edge.

Fighting through the wiring. Figuring out really quick how inaccurate Jeep wiring diagrams are.

All LS wiring looks good. No voltages where they shouldn't be.

Headlights, taillights, turn signals, backup lights, fogs, high beam all good.

Brand new Standard Products headlight switch lasted about 8 hours. Got a Mopar one on order. Why do we think the Chinese can build anything that has even remotely good quality?

Got an issue with the wipers. Only working on high speed. Gota be the delay module

Instrument panel working well. All gauges except tach and speedometer working. Can't test those until I fire the motor.

Interior lights coming on with headlights grrrr.

Just gotta keep maintaining my patience. I will get to the bottom of every issue. It is just so time consuming.

However with so much new and modified wiring I am not naive enough to think it would be perfect.

I would just like to thank who ever invented the power probe. Pure genius.

there are a lot of people I'd like to go back in time and say thanks for their invention.  :D  that probe is definitely on the list.

YOu can use the stock setup with the winch.

Thank you for this information. A statement was made in another thread by someone who I don't think had the winch mount saying it does not work with the stock fan configuration.

So I learned a lesson with interior lights don't use LED it creates havoc as Jeep ground the interior light circuit through the actual bulbs. (Similar to the front turn signals)

Had some fun with the clock. My harness wasn't wired for it. Found this great article that explained all the various clock pin out's - Lifesaver

Installed the bed lights. Tied into the cargo light circuit.

So finally I have a living, breathing 5.3 L33 all aluminum engine running in the Comanche. quite a journey. I did learn today that you cannot start a new LS if you do not depress the accelerator pedaL. Apparently the LS  engine will not start until it sees TPS voltage movement. New one on me. Got a couple of small coolant leaks. All the gauges work which is a miracle!!. Off to the exhaust shop next week.

It is an amazing experience that far too few get to experience.

Weird...I don't have that issue. o_O

It's so exciting to hear it run the first time...loud, but exciting!  You're going to love driving it!

I can't wait. I am going to have to pull the trans. The clutch isn't quite right. I need to wind in the adjustable thrust bearing a bit. Brakes are bled, PS is all good. No leaks so far. All gauges are working. Gas is reading double what it should because I think tristarradiators used an XJ sending unit. Easy fix with a resister.
