the highest offer i remember was 4K, But i'v had about 6 people offer to buy my MJ, and a couple of mom and pop used car lots offered as well while we where looking for dad's jeep.

if only i could get someone to buy my car instead...

Someone at the dump told me $1200 one time. That's when I quit asking how much they were offering and just started saying "it's not for sale"

What they may offer doesn't matter. Unless it happens to be at or more than I'm willing to take to start the whole MJ process again.

For the right money I'd start looking for a replacement auto 4x4 HO tomorrow. Or, just buy my buddy's 88 auto 4x4 XJ, fix the AC and drive.

I once had someone ask what I'd sell it for. I said $10,000. Truth is I'm not sure I'd even sell if for that, but I was kinda frustrated with it at the time. His counter-offer was $1500. I laughed and walked away.

At this point I don't think any (realistic) amount of cash would make me sell mine. I've become far too attached to the damn thing, even if it does decide it wants to piss me off every once in a while.

I agree Minuit, I always appreciate the compliments but realize that most offers to buy would be insulting.

I had a guy ask me if I would want to sell it just a few days ago as well, he said he used to own one and regrets selling it. He's probably the 3rd or 4th person to ask me if I want to sell it, that always makes me feel good

Ive always thought that the amount anyone would give me for it would never be enough for me to be able to replace it properly. That and I really don't have much into mine as it sits. Id NEVER be able to do it again for what I actually have spent.

Had my first experience today of someone trying to buy my truck. Said him and his son just got done fixing up an old Cutlass. Told me they were looking for an older truck to work on now. Kind of wish I would have entertained him to see what he offered. Just told him outright that it wasn't for sale.

I always tell people it's not for sale, they keep bugging me, I usually come back with a figure between 12-15 grand, depending on my mood. That usually irritates them enough so that they leave me alone. ☺
