Strokermjcomanche Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 If I did a cheromanche this would be it , although I don't know what would happen with a lot of weight in the "bed". It's not anyone's on here is it?
1992EliminatorSWB4x4 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Oh boy "O" Boy that shorty is Sweet. It's done right. Just Awesome and Cool l!!!.
87Warrior Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Holy smoke. Somebody spent a lot of time on that!
HOrnbrod Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 $11,500 only. http://www.hillcityhotrods.com/windowsticker.php?vehicle=788160&1996%20JEEP%20CHEROKEE%20GREY
ComancheKid45 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Idk if ida put the Comanche badging on it but overall I really like it!
Automan2164 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Had me until the interior shots. Looks half cocked. Color isn't right on the mini console, the roundish Dakota seats look out of place in the square '96 interior. I would have liked to see either a nice MJ bench, or some first gen leather buckets. Rob
Crash Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 The interior is definitely mediocre. Exterior looks clean. The possibilities of what my MJ would look like for that kind of money. Haha.
Minuit Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 It's very pretty on the outside (the interior bugs me in the same way Rob said - curves and the old school interior do not mix.) but I'm not sure what the benefit over a regular old MJ is. It looks like an XJ-sized MJ - not that much shorter or more maneuverable. Also what's the deal with the "trough" at the front of the bed? It looks like it's about the size of a toolbox. Does look cool though, but I still can't figure out if I like the Wagoneer front clip on it.

Look at the short doors. Nicely done, but I would want to crawl all over it. I guess I would also have to ask... why? Rob
kook911 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Forgot I had these pictures. Here is a different way to do it I guess.
relyt120 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 It looks really nice from the front but I'm not a fan overall. Would much rather see a real Comanche done up the way the exterior of this one looks. One thing that bugs me is that they say its a show truck but the engine isn't even cleaned up for the pictures. :hmm:
Zebvance Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 2 words..... BUT WHY? why not just get a real comanche and restore it.....
Pete M Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 2 words..... BUT WHY? why not just get a real comanche and restore it..... maybe he had a partially wrecked MJ and partially wrecked XJ and was bored one day. :dunno:

yellaheep Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Man, there's a TON of fab work in the bed. Look at the fender wells...... MJ bed sides and wells, grafted to the XJ wells and floor. NUTS. I'd hate to flex that on a trail...... I foresee lots of cracked filler and wavy rear body panels where the bed meets the cab. I do like the levity........ "Super-Short".
ComancheFan1991 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The "troughs" are the foot wells from the rear seat. I would've put a hinged lid over those, like the compartment in the back of the Honda Ridgeline. I knew those seats came out of a Dodge, but I didn't know if it was a Dakota, or a Ram.

Spectormj Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 The thing that bugs me is how they say its a Comanche the cab line doesn't work as a bed line..
gogmorgo Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Not sure what you mean. I agree, they shouldn't be calling it a Comanche because it isn't one, but all the body lines look like they match what they would on an MJ. It just looks weird because the bed is so much shorter and there's no gap between the cab and bed.
