Ronnie Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Found this - Used it and so far, so good This is actually a behind the seat cup holder and tray. I used some blue tape to mark a line and my dremel to trim the edge off the tray. This provides a large flat surface that I slid under my bench seat. This holds everything in place very well. It does limit the travel of the seat but, works well for me and get's my wife close enough for her to drive. Purchased from WalMart Ta - Da...
relyt120 Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 That looks sweet, almost as if it were made to go there  is it pretty sturdy?
Ronnie Posted June 30, 2013 Author Posted June 30, 2013 Yep, nice and sturdy. The tray part that is trimmed is about 10" long and 10" wide and fits tightly under the seat. I can't see it tipping at all.
UglyAmerican00 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Is it possible to get a couple more pictures of what it looks like. I really think I'm gonna do that, looks darn good!
64 Cheyenne Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Looks good, probably one of the better ones out there.
Ronnie Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Here are some additional pics. I hope it helps. This is a top view so you can see how much of the trimmed tray slides under the seat. Here is a profile of the tray after I trimmed it down with the dremel so it would slide under the seat. I shared this just because I took the picture.... Good luck, have fun...
GirsMJ86 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 That thing looks great, going to weigh this against my current setup and see if I can live with the idea of no more arm rest.
RochesterMJ Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I bought and modified one of these this weekend. Works great, looks great, stays in place yet simple removal. If you don't like high high it sits (about 1.5" above the seat) you can just pull out the insert (light grey) and mount that with screws/velcro. Thanks for sharing
revmaynard Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 This looked like an awesome alternative to keep my clean bench seat but after searching Walmart I came up empty handed. I tried finding one online and Walmart only sells them in store and nobody else listed this exact piece sadly. :-/ I'm going to check Target and some local auto parts just in case.
carnuck Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Do you have the barcode? That can help to find them online and in stores
danbyrambler Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 This might help - - I got one at AZ for wifes van this past summer http://www.rubbermaid.com/Pages/offlinestores.aspx?WTBId=3318&ProdId=RP092006
revmaynard Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Thanks danbyrambler! I found one that's supposed to be in stock near me at Target so I'll grab one there hopefully.
revmaynard Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Well Target was a strike out for me, but I checked this week on a whim and Walmart now will sell them through their site. So I ordered one for in-store pick-up and sure enough got it in a few days later!
DDJeep89 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 These are still available online at Walmart. I bought one about 4 months ago. This thing fits awesome like it was meant to be there.
Manche757 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Kudos to Ronnie for original post 2013. I looked today in a local Walmart and did not find them. I looked online and did find them at Target. The online price this morning was $12.29. I bought 2 for 87 and 89 MJs. They were ready for pick up at store in two hours. The local Target had them on hand for $19.99. Glad I bought online and no shipping charge.
8valvehero Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Hey gang. I’ve been rolling one of these cuoholders since 2014. Big ups to Ronnie for the original discovery. Autozone also carries this item. It’s where I found mine, and I have seen one in stock at my local store recently.
DesertRat1991 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 This is a great solution. I trimmed the lip off the tray then rounded the corners with the dremel. Simple, sturdy and completely removable. Couldn't find it at Walmart, Target, or Ebay but Amazon still has them: https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-3318-20-Automotive-Organizer-Hanging/dp/B00S9LK9MQ/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3TUXQPGN4FF3M
Salvagedcircuit Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 It looks like the Rubbermaid Plastic Car Cup Holder Organizer Storage Tray 3318-20, has been officially discontinued. I tried to grab another as a spare and It's gone everywhere. I contacted the company, Pilot automotive, that acquired the Rubbermaid auto rights and they told me it's discontinued.

Obviously it needs a better bottom attachment mechanism, and a removal of that proud rubbermaid logo lip, but otherwise the overall design is nice.
