What Is A Clean Mj 44 Worth

I've seen people around here asking $400 for D44 up to $6-800 for a D 60. They weren't getting it, Just asking A D44 will go $200-400, I've bought 2 D44 's from an XJ at the P&P. They charge $125 for a rear end regardless of what it is. If I were selling a MJ D44 I would be asking $300. Would take $200, if I liked the person.

A d44 for a comanche is excedingly rare, but its like trying to sell a million dollar mansion, ya its worth a good bit, but your target market is a pretty small one. Like mnkyboy said if you set it up for an XJ you probably could get $325-350 maybe a little more. If I were looking around and spied a d44 i would give up to 200 for a non beautified one and from 250-275 for one that has been gone over, like yours.

For a clean MJ D44 I would pay $350, if it had trac-loc. $450 if it had 4.10 gears. $250 with an open carrier and wrong gears.

I bought mine for $200 with the proper driveshaft. But it was dirty, has an open carrier and will need regeared/built.

Bitter tast....bucket seat brackets and good h.o. Sender $150. Good sturdy clean axle, jack $#!1....gonna start selling to ebay idiots since there is no middle ground.

I like selling to Ebay idiots.

True, more true for XJ/MJers though.

:agree: x 10,000. Especially MJ'ers. And I are one.

Not trying to add any fuel to the fire here, but everyone is pretty accurate with their estimates; I wouldn't pay much more than $300 on my nicest day. It's not about what you think it's worth; it's about what some clod out there is willing to spend to get it from you.

Just depends how bad someone needs it and how close they are located near you so travel shipping don't bite into it. If I needed one right away and you were within a hour away I would pay $400.00 or more as the yards around here want $350.00 for any rear and it will need gone over. I understand what your saying very well its like my NOS bedside the most I was offered was $100.00 with it needing shipped. A cheap china fender is around $75.00 bucks I would cut it up and scrap it or cut patches out of for mine first.

I've sold XJ 44s for 150. I'd never specifically pay more then that for just a axle. I've bought complete XJs equipped with a 44 for 200 bucks.

I'll take a 100 dollar 8.25 all day long!

MJ would be a hard sell around here...

Problem is the group of potential buyers is tiny, there's not a lot of people looking for an MJ d44 and of the people building MJs most are going SOA so an MJ axle is not a bolt in.

With the XJ D44 there is a lot more demand and they are SOA so they are bolt in on pretty much any XJ

IMO the prices given have been pretty good for a rear D44 so the rarity of an MJ is worth something. A rear D44 from most rigs goes for $100-$150

Even rear D60s are usually under $200
