Mitch Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 really nothing to brag about, pretty stock. Which is why I break it all the damn time I have a whole build thread somewhere in the projects thread. I think you have a good idea here and kinda just want to see pics ;) Thanks for your nice comment.
jtdesigns Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Cool wheels.. I've never seen any like that..
blackdiamond Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 here she is in the state she now sits. dual 44's 37's buddybuilt long arms, lots of fender hacking
Pete M Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 You'll never be able to get a pics-only thread. There are always questions to be asked. :D Before: (before jbhill stripped it that is) Now:
89eliminator Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 day paint was done current, not yet done state.
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Start: 30 Day Later: And with all projects, it's constantly changing and progressing into something different.
mvusse Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 When I first got it, $400 Right now, about $1600 invested, including purchase price and tires. ($900 from insurance for getting hit helps or it would be $2500) Next up, not necessarily in this order: new bed, paint job, bigger tires, front locker, roll bar.
mjeff87 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 ^^^^^^^^^^^ Gaaaahhhh!! my eyes!!!! I've been blinded!!!! ;) Wish I had a pic of mine when I first got it back in ’99, but digital cameras weren’t even invented back then :D It truly was an “old man’s” truck (and I bought it from him, sort of....he passed away and I bought it from his wife). Here’s a comparison of right after I converted it to 4WD and brought it back down to VA, to where it sits now. Lotsa stuff has changed….. Back then: Image Not Found Image Not Found Now :brows: Image Not Found Image Not Found
Xacto Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 At 2 months old, in Dec of 1989: As it sits now, 147k miles later: Pretty much still stock except for the cap, driving lights and wheels.
Pete M Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I too don't have any pics from when I bought my 88 back in 97, but trust me, it was a pile of crap. This shot was from it's heyday as a sporty 2wd: And now... slightly modified. Pretty much the only thing original and untouched is the engine.
Drahcir495 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 The day I got her-> Latest picture - not yet complete ->
Pete M Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 My 86 early on in my ownership: And as she sat last year (she's got less fancy tires now): Still pretty much as I got her, except with lots more rust. :(
Darren Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 How I bought her back in 2006. 3" and 31's bone stock. How she sits now.
