really nothing to brag about, pretty stock. Which is why I break it all the damn time I have a whole build thread somewhere in the projects thread.

I think you have a good idea here and kinda just want to see pics ;)

Thanks for your nice comment.

You'll never be able to get a pics-only thread. There are always questions to be asked. :D

Before:

(before jbhill stripped it that is)

When I first got it, $400

Right now, about $1600 invested, including purchase price and tires. ($900 from insurance for getting hit helps or it would be $2500)

Next up, not necessarily in this order: new bed, paint job, bigger tires, front locker, roll bar.

Gaaaahhhh!! my eyes!!!! I've been blinded!!!! ;)

Wish I had a pic of mine when I first got it back in ’99, but digital cameras weren’t even invented back then :D It truly was an “old man’s” truck (and I bought it from him, sort of....he passed away and I bought it from his wife). Here’s a comparison of right after I converted it to 4WD and brought it back down to VA, to where it sits now. Lotsa stuff has changed…..

Back then:

As it sits now, 147k miles later:

Pretty much still stock except for the cap, driving lights and wheels.

I too don't have any pics from when I bought my 88 back in 97, but trust me, it was a pile of crap. This shot was from it's heyday as a sporty 2wd:

And now... slightly modified. Pretty much the only thing original and untouched is the engine.

My 86 early on in my ownership:

And as she sat last year (she's got less fancy tires now):

Still pretty much as I got her, except with lots more rust. :(
