  1. that. looks. terrible.
  2. only way nice boats are worthwhile (to me) is if you live on a lake. Paying for docking is a waste, loading and unloading everytime gets old, lake patrol "cops" hate jetskis. It doesn't fail that every time I go out on my jetski, I get hassled for parking it, engine off, next to a friend's boat or jetski. "can't be within 100 feet of another boat"....fine print says with engine running, but they do not care. take lake "cops" out of it though and I guess I wouldn't really be complaining lol.

  4. research security key module failure. Join lostjeeps.com and check out the CRD support. They will get you taken care of. The security key functions differently with the CRD than the gassers. IIRC it actually cuts power altogether to the motor, or parts of it, as opposed to cutting injector ground on the gassers. Gas jobs will fire for 3 seconds without it. Not uncommon to fail, and replacing the module does not require reflashing the PCM with security key. It *should* just sense the code in the key, and provide the appropriate signal to match it to the ECM
  5. is it equipped with security key?
  6. Thinking too hard. If your 01 has split manifolds, but no pre-cat, swap to the 98 exhaust manifold and y-pipe, using the 01 o2 sensor. problem solved.
  7. you should be buying a new pump
  8. There are 23 left in a warehouse. complete with wiring.
  9. pm me your address and I will send one out to you in the morning.
  10. Someone confirm what tooth count he needs, should be 27 or 29, and I'll mail him one.
  11. you have a blown head gasket. only compression going into the head would cause that. you no longer have a t-stat in reducing the flow and causing boil-off. you could have a cracked coolant reservoir or bad reservoir cap, but I've never seen one leak with no t-stat in. Not having the t-stat doesn't allow it to develop the pressure to cause it to overflow.

    Time Capsule

:agree: Time capsules are supposed to keep treasures from the past, to educate the future. You guys are thinking of a coffin. Bury it once and forget about it after a generation. I :agree: But...it would be education for the future...on who NOT to elect! Let's make that a bottom line of legal u.s. citizens actually being a requirement, rather than becoming optional.

  16. IDK how your 90 xj is 23 spline if it's automatic...only if it's a 5 speed with ax15. They will directly swap as far as bolting up if they truly are same spline count. Whether they seal up on the back of the trans depends on whether they are both the same length shaft or not. sometimes that doesn't even matter. you will have to eliminate the vacuum hoses going to the central axle disconnect on the axle, and shim it over, or posi-lock it with a cable.
  17. Did you rip the ground strap on the motor while it was tilted when trans was removed? Also, even if the relay isOK, make sure it's actually sending power out and not grounding it.
  18. It was actually not from Oregon. It contained an organ. damn organ theives!
  19. If you give me a date, I will make it.
  20. Stainless is harder, yes, but does a good job cleaning aluminum quick fast and in a hurry. I actually use it to polish aluminum engine and chassis parts on my snowmobiles. No scratches, high shine.
  21. Reading that post, this is the only thing I could think about. http://m.quickmeme.com/meme/3qce6m/
  22. I use a brass or stainless wheel on a drill.
  23. replacing the entire dash harness will be easier. I have one, from an 87 auto. same identical as manual. $50 plus shipping. it's in good shape, might have radio connectors cut off but I think it had a radio adapter.
  24. sounds like you've got one of the collars goofed up on the shift forks.
