  1. you're right of course, But that money was better spent there and keeping our government from funding the habits of those who do.
  2. Can't remember where, but I recently read an article about a city or state that has instituted drug testing for welfare, at a cost of $30,000, with a saving of $339,000 as a result of people refusing to give up drugs and simply not bothering to try and get welfare knowing they wouldn't pass.
  3. The simple fact is that treason is NOT being discussed here, on this forum, in any way, shape, or form. That is above and beyond political debates, which have been removed from this site before for exactly the direction that this discussion is heading. Keep it simple. We all have opinions. To flatly say "you are wrong" is a personal attack and removes the intelligent value of the conversation. To stand your ground and refuse all logical arguments is accomplishing the same thing. I do not like Obama. I do not like ACA. Neither have, in my opinion, addressed constitutional values, and neither holds this nation's best interest. We can look right at Denmark and their utter welfare state failure, the fact that they're in huge financial turmoil over it. We can see that their commitment to the removal of their welfare program as it sat a month ago is enough to also make us realize that their are millions of people who have become dependant upon said program, that will be left without, left wanting, and unable to cope. Those people dependant on the system have become so reliant on it that they haven't spent the time saving and depending on their own income to ensure ability to cope with their own medical and financial issues. The flat refusal by liberals to meet the conservative proposal that either we are all held to ACA, with no one exempt, or it doesn't apply to anyone...is enough validation of Republican concerns that it is beneficial to none of the American people. The government shutdown is easily seen as being due to nothing more than the fact that ALL politicians are puppets, and that neither the few who have tried to make the ACA applicable to everyone or no one, nor those who KNOW it's not benifical, will back down. It's all a joke, it's all a distraction from the truth.
  4. wow. Incommando, while I can certainly see the depth of your opinionated arguments, and the forethought of them, I think, in this nation, at this point in time, that you are vastly unaware of the application of the terms and conditions of the constitution. "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety shall deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin was a wise man.
  5. no law is above repeal. that is the reason for the shutdown. The law is declared a tax, which congress cannot pass. Only the house can pass taxes. All politicians are little more than a skunk turned tail towards us ready to spray, knowing it's going to take ages to get that stink off the people.
  6. I roll with Speedglass. No way I would buy anything but their hoods. Components are easy to replace, hoods are VERY flexible plastic, which means that they are shock absorbent should they fall from any height, or have something fall on them. Plus they work freaking awesome.
  7. 96 ecu is a completely different style and plugin from the 91-95. not compatible. The dash harness, engine harness, steering column are all easily put in, the hardest part being making the wires match up at the driver footwell for fuel sending unit. You'd also need to have a H.O. fuel sending unit. The airbag in the 95-96 has no electronics whatsoever. It is a pendulum style airbag that is activated by sudden momentum, which causes a needle on the pendulum to break a piece of glass, starting a chemical procedure to deploy the airbag. You can easily do some fancy wiring to keep the gm saginaw column, but then you will NOT be able to use cruise control, as the 96 cruise control is activated by certain resistance through the switches on the face of the steeringwheel. You could mount those switches elsewhere to compensate for it, but frankly, the effort spent to do that vs. simply bolting in the column makes it not worthwhile.
  8. *shrug* if you say so
  9. you know the front axle is low pinion right? the extra height is gonna be a ton of strain on the front driveshaft.
  10. I'd point out that gas in some cases isn't an expensive solution. If you're going to be in the shop for only a few hours, you crank up the heat 15 min. before going out to work, and it's warm by the time you get out. Having to turn on an electric heater hours beforehand. How do you feel about electrical fires? We have an automatic pilot house furnace set up in our shop. turn it down to 45 degrees @ night, up to 70 when we're working. works great, keeps things from freezing. This is a 30x60 work space in a cinder block shop with a tin roof and insulation only on the ceiling. Only bad thing about the insulation is that it keeps the heat from getting out on the roof, so we get ice sheet buildup that we have to break off constantly. heats it just enough while we're in there to melt it, then shutting it down allows it to ice.
  11. OP deleted his stuff, but was talking about plasti-dipping a complete vehicle, MJ specifically.
  12. lol. I understand that. We went away from wood. you just can't heat a 30x50 space well enough with it, and the work cutting and space to store really makes it not worth while. So we're running gas and have a useless to us burner. would be perfect for a smaller space.
  13. Want to drive down by me, pick up a blue interior, and a forced air wood/oil burner, call it a day?
  14. Every gosh darned time I see this subject, all I can think of is dipsh*t ricers.

I don't get it on my iPad, PC, android cell phone. But it's really slow
  16. My apologies, it's been awhile since I've messed with them. Either way, just cut the AW4 NSS wire off the switch, loop B and C for NSS bypass, tie in reverse light switch off ax15, call it a day.
  17. You don't need to Just remove the TCM, or the fuse for it, then cut the NSS harness off of the switch itself, and wire that to your ax15's NSS and reverse light plugs and call it a day. keeps it looking factory. The engine harness for an ax15 still has the extra TCM plug for the TPS anyways, it's just not used.
  18. Never seen one seize in a jeep. Matter of fact, half are usually missing on 4 bangers anyways
  19. not as hard as you think. 2 door front door would mate up to the 2 door back half (b pillar). Simply make sure you use the back of the door jamb from the 2 door. Then pull the skin off, use the front of the 4 door rear door to mount it, reskin it. You'd only need to make a custom piece of glass for the forward section of the rear doors, and (depending on if you do 2 door or 4 door length) use the forward guide channel off of the vent windows up front. Then you just use 2 door or 4 door front glass from an 84-96 xj. skin using 2 door skin, should turn out pretty well. If you cut the 2 door at the A pillar and the 4 door at the back side of the B pillar, the main part will match up. You'd need to cut the roof skin back farther on the 4 door body to blend out the roof ribs, and the 4 door floor pan could happily go back to the "front" seats of the 2 door section, with some finaggling. Really the worst thing I can think of would be to get rid of the taper in the floor, or make it less drastic, so the front and rear halves match up better. I also don't think you could do this happily with stock rockers...you would need to plate the frame in front and behind of the blend seem between the two halves, and since it's a good assumption that you'd be starting with two worn out/not rust free xj's, there won't be any rockers anyways. I would personally use 2x4 or 2x6 rocker with ribs connecting it to the frame for structural integrity, to keep the center from bowing or flexing. It might look goofy with longer rear side doors, though.
  20. meld the 2 door rear section from the A pillar back onto the 4 door front half, right behind the B pillar. The 4 door rear roof skin would need to be kept back to above the rear seat head area to blend the roofs, but this would let you use 2 door front door as the rear door by grafting it to a 4 door rear door section, and allow you to use 2 door door glass. that would be 9" longer than doing it using a 4 dooor front door length.
  21. This might make me want a real jeep again...
  22. I will not sea foam an engine. Period. The oil filter is only filtering 10% of the oil passing through at most. The rest is bypassed. The sludge, gunk, grime buildup is such that if you break it loose, it will clog oil passages, ruin bearings. Even an ounce of sea foam will thin out the oil and cause minor damage. The more you treat, the more you damage. The only way to clean a gunked motor without full disassembly and having it dipped is with the oil pan off and scrape then spray it out. Even at that, there is still a chance of loose debris causing damage. Anyone buying into sea foam or other mystery oils hasn't been inside a motor enough to know better.
  23. I'm very familiar with gas KJ's. LMK if u need anything http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f222/02-liberty-renegade-limited-resurrection-53070/
