  1. oh boy oh boy..... talk of a razor grille and still no pictures?
  2. Just realized that. Been commenting on it but didn't make the connection.
  3. What are your intentions for the truck? Daily driver? Wheeler? Hard core trail rig? That will make a big difference on which arm to go with. Hard to say how the RE arms compare without knowing specs. I don't have any experience with them. I have tier1 arms on mine and am happy. Mine is a daily that may one day see some light trail use. Plus I think that Core's warranty is hard to beat. I have dealt with them on some install questions I had and there customer service is great.
  4. don't take me as one of the pros. Lol. I know enough to be dangerous. This forum is the wealth of knowledge that keeps my truck rolling. If not for the rest of the members and their assistance my truck would probably have gotten sold years ago. The rumble sounds like it could be alot of things. Does it do it sitting if you rev the motor? Or just when driving down the road.
  5. Id rather do the pan gasket than the heater core any day. Yes I believe brass punches are available at Lowe's.
  6. Never seen one welded. Siezed up good but not welded. Was it a year thing? Early model vs late?
  7. Well there goes my headstand practice......
  8. It doesnt have a check engine light as stated before. The seatbelt and brake light should be all that light up. Any warning lights on when running? If not and it seems to run decent and the price is right I would buy it. Any problem you are likely to have with these trucks is something already dealt with and most likely solved by someone else already. If it has a wiring issue it can be found and repaired. don't be scared if the truck needs a little love and care. They are actually very simple overall and easy to maintain and repair. And there is plenty of help available from some of the best right here on the club.
  9. Core 4x4 adjustable short arms, unless you have plans to wheel it hard. Then go long arm. I saw you bought a rc 4.5" lift. The short arms would be a good match. Gives you all the ad k ustment you need to maintain proper alignmment adjustments with the lift.
  10. Take the chance to clean the bumpstop threads and the threads on the chassis side. A little antisieze before reassembly will make it easier when you lift and need to space the bumpstop.
  11. Does it start and run?
  12. Personal I don't mind the closed lood system. I have a macs tank and a homemade overflow bottle (old gatorade jug). So some would say its an open loop now I ran for years with plastic tanks with few problems. I think the closed loop is sufficient if properly maintained.
  13. Another fine example of technology making life easier.
  14. Bwahahaha. Pop top.
  15. Looks like a great restoration canidate. Keep it, fix it, drive it. don't forget to add it to the registry and welcome to the club.
  16. It all make sense now........
  17. Fwiw: My 85 CJ-7 factory 5spd. Has no lever. My 88 MJ factory 5spd. Has a lever. Both have original columns in them.
  18. Side note: What causes people to paint calipers red? Seems to be a very common color to pick.....
