REM installed and seeking translations

I believe so. Pretty sure it is hard plastic until a rubber end that connects to the controls. -

It is the vacuum line that runs the heater\ac control. They are a hard plastic line factory. -

Well the only solution I see to that, is to do a renix swap. Then you could just pull the timer.

Rockauto MJ magnet

I think I might be sitting on a gold mine @ $4\ea. -
Pull the timer out. As far as I know without special equipment it can't be reset.

Door handle gaskets / seals
watchamakalit replied to farmboi's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I see. I didn't remember them being different. But it's been a while since I pulled mine for the tow mirrors. Now I gotta go pull my flag mirrors out and look. -
Door handle gaskets / seals
watchamakalit replied to farmboi's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Mirror gaskets should be the same as the ones he just made for the "mirror delete". -
If I'm not mistaken the maintenance required light is simply run off a timer. I believe it was set up so that light would come on at certain mileage intervals to remind you to take it to be serviced. But it's been a long time since I had a maintenance timer.

Read the original post. Cruiser mod was done long ago, with no improvement. -

blow-by or something else
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I only have a mild 180000 on my motor. Previous compression test show good steady non leaking compression across the board. That is part of what makes me wonder if there isn't another underlying cause I'm not seeing. -
blow-by or something else

Yes the rear line is clean and free flowing. I was running 15w40 rotella, but heard it could be an issue of oil not draining back through the block fast enough cause by heavy oil weight. Last oil change I went to 10w30 and there has been little to no change. This seems to be the one oil leak I can't stop. -
Ok I want to start with saying I have recently (last 5 years) replaced the ccv breathers and confirmed no blockage, cruiser54 modded my valve cover breathers, switched to lighter viscosity oil and my dilemma persists. I can't stop this old girl from running an oil bath air filter. Am I missing something obvious or is she just ready for an ls style catch can?

Sorry for the delay. To be honest I left the parts in the back of the zj when I got home and forgot about them. Here they are as promised. The jack handle is the nicest one of the collection he had. This is the folding handle that operates the tire crank. The back panel was the first of the grey ones we pulled from the box. It is in good condition with a few dirty spots on it. I think it will clean up really easy. Shoot me a pm and we can discuss details.

the newest addition to the herd......
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
I took it for about a 2hr round trip drive last Sunday. Really makes for a nice ride when you have some working tunes. I'm not audiophile but do enjoy a good sounding stereo. I am pleased and would recommend the radio and speakers at this point. -

I may have went a little over board. Maybe not. Sure didn't go the cheapest route but not the most expensive either. Sound is back to what I would expect from at least a decent stock sound system. I will say the speaker kit came with a set of 3.5" speakers I'm not sure what to do with. They may find a home in the MJ.... https://a.co/d/2YqNEdg https://www.ebay.com/itm/396327163727?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=tozo1tg0rv2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=tsp71us7rey&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY -
I will say I also prefer the buckets over the bench. Although it does make it tough for the wife to slide over next to me.

Mornin' Stellantis, time to dust off the Jeep Comanche

Just saw this article. https://techcrunch.com/2025/04/25/slate-auto-eyes-former-indiana-printing-plant-for-its-ev-truck-production/ May not be interesting to some but Warsaw is a stones throw from my place. -
If I had another I would have gladly sent it with the first one. However it seems "big Johnson jeeps" beat us to that one before passing the truck to me. There is a chance he would have several more clips but I would have to see if I can catch him this weekend and ask him if he has "extras".
