$1,200 Dually Conversion Kit in NE
watchamakalit replied to H3ADBANG4L1F3's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I remember seeing the add years ago in the JCWhitney catalog. I even remember seeing a Comanche done with one of these kits. I think it's cool and if I could afford it I'd be on it like stink on $#!&. -
Project “Tomahawk”

If you need one to work on you can always travel to the Hoosier state and body\paint mine. -

Awesome. Glad to see it fits well enough for your approval to use on your build. That means it's way nicer than my truck needs but will probably get. -

What exterior lower window seal did you use with the big windows? That's my big hang up with the late model window swap. Is it just as simple as using the late model wipe? -
I recommend the coin wash because it can leave quite the oily residue. You probably won't want it in your driveway
-
Parts store degreaser and the coin operated car wash are the way to go. Might take a couple treatments depending on the amount of crude built up. But in the end with some patience and a bunch of quarters they will all clean up nicely.

General Spring replacement leaf
watchamakalit replied to JIMMYRIG's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The gs571 was never meant to be a factory replacement spring I don't believe. They probably don't flex well off road but they do really shine when loaded. -

I hope that didn't come across with a negative connotation. It wasn't meant that way. No apology necessary. I quoted the old post because I was being lazy. Lol -

This has been covered many times before. Here is a link to one of the more recent discussions. -
O2 doin funny things

NOS still means "new OLD stock". Maybe it's not service hours that kills them aom much as just age. -

Sounds like O2 sensor to me I forgot the 2.5 doesn't have a Schrader valve to check fuel pressure. -

Fuel pressure ok? Clogged filter causing a lean condition Maybe just a faulty O2. I had a perpetual rich condition in mine when my O2 quit. -
Finally found one...Now it has a new floor.

Installed some new exterior mirror delete plates courtesy of zimdak industries. Great to work with and an amazing fit and finish. Tow mirror owners take notice. -

I ran on 3" of lift with a stock track bar and mount location with no drivability issues. I'm curious why your running the relocation bracket? -
I don't know how other states work, but Indiana has an affidavit program that allows mileage exemptions to be corrected. I think you have to contact 2 or 3 previous owners and have them sign off the mileage being correct. Not sure but on a collectable vehicle it might be worth a shot if your state has a similar program.

Only on important things like wire splices......

I have general spring "metric ton" packs. They are stiffer than stock but ride way better than my 2013 2500 Silverado. I think it feels more like a truck than a car but it's definitely not horrible. Just don't expect Cadillac like ride.

Being in the Midwest, mice aren't too big of a problem, until harvest chases them out of the fields in the fall. What has been a great success for me is to have several neighbors who don't spay or neuter their barn cats and just let them roam the countryside. Very few rodents around here. The downside is, that many cats becomes like a large population of racoons. They will be into everything and pee on it all.

I am about half way through. I really enjoy seeing the long forgotten west. Not sure I will ever get the chance to go see all you have explored. Thank you and you wife for sharing your adventures.

Yeah. Shoot me a pm and we can iron out the details.

I only have one in the driver door. The one for the passenger door is MIA. I assume they are interchangeable but don't know for sure. Either way I don't have a set. Here is a pick for anyone wanting to know what it looks like.
