Jump the relay and see if you can hear the pump running. If not it is more than likely a dead pump. Mine just up and died a year ago and I still have not replaced it. The truck has been sitting in the garage ever since.
One and a half. I still have Betty locked away until I get a garage to finish her in and I am in the process of getting Onyx back. I paid for her just need to find the time and money to go get her.
I have only owned these two trucks but I've owned them both twice!
it will only log you in when you actually come to the website. He was here, lurking. I'd flag him as a spammer but want to see if he has the balls to show up and make it right.
Needs to be smogged is a way to get it about $300-$500 cheaper. Along with unpaid registration. I have bought many of MJs and XJs like this on the cheap. It can't hurt to go look at it. Just make sure the smog stuff is present then use a $350 CAT as your way to get the owner down in price.
There are no new sending units for MJs. They are XJ units and will not work in an MJ tank.
I am digging the two tone paint job on you truck. It has a real 80s feel to it.
I just put ac in a cj7 and I'm doing a j10 right now. Both kits were from vintage air and were really user friendly. The 84-86 are unique beasts and are hard to find parts for used. The compressor, mount and hvac box are pretty much the same for all 2.5 MJs. Your issue will come from finding a used condenser and lines. You will have to more than likely buy them new.
If I remember right the MJ flashers stop flashing when the brake is applied. It is a Safety feature to keep from getting rear ended. The radio is more than likely in need of replacement. The screeching tells me it is burnt up. The blower motor resistor is probably bad causing the blower not to work.
Pete I'm on my way to Elijay in a few weeks to bring Onyx home finally. I just can't get that truck out of my mind. I spent 2 years building it and only drove it from the garage onto the trailer to sale it. If you're in town still I'll look you up.
