Is this to mnch?
comanchedude replied to PaleRider44247's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
For me simple,I wouldn't give a grand for any 4cy std shift MJ with any trim level. I don't care what it looks like. Thats me I want and automatic,4x4,4.0L if spending in that range or above -
I have bought several things from RK direct no probs, but they have some people there that are not very qualified and do not have any customer skills. but thats just some.. I have not had any issues with their products and most of time I get good folks on the phone, so if someone made the statement "XJ track bar for the MJ" well then you got one of the people there that should not be answering the phones and yes I have gotten that idiot myself once or twice. but is does sound like you got the wrong track bar for you lift.

What driveshaft with SOA
comanchedude replied to tcm glx's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I reused the factory drive shaft ,it was short after the soa so I had it re tube and for my application added .75" I reused the u-joints as they were only a year old and the drive line shop said changing angles had no affect on a good joint. now they are over 3 years old and still running fine I do keep them well lubed -

Thats what i was thinking.. why in the hell would you buy a RHD Jeep

Looks like they wanted to destroy the truck, why would you pull it like that? I don't care what truck you have you will bend it pulling like that..hell it was a extra cab at that. seems like you would pull it out from the rear not the far end over? crazy

front axel shaft?
comanchedude replied to 92comanche4x4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
well you can rule out a disco problem :brows: you may be right about a broken Axel shaft? -
I’m on my second set of Trxus MT and have no bad words for the tire. I ran a set of 31” got about 20K of on and off road use. Now running 33" and I really like the tires, they get great traction off-road, look great, I don’t have any balance problems, and they are priced..Well you can’t get a comparable tire for the money IMO With any tire you will get lots of differing opinions. But if you want an all around tire they are top of the heap. If you want an off-road only tire then look no farther than the TSL. As for balance issues after you go 33” or larger all brands can and often do have balance issues to some degree you can read that in most any tire review but is not a given. Trxus MT ..great tire

x2 Disc brakes are an upgrade ,same with upgrading the brake booster. and has nothing to do with Nascar

My Buddie did a swap and used the rear disc setup from a 96 crown vic only had to do a couple very minor mods "grinding" and make a spacer for the axel seal. turned out great. I plan the same setup on my Jeep this spring We got the parts at the pull&pay cost was around $60.00 if I remember.

Now thats funny.. :D Also if you get the MJ and don't want the Light bar let me know I will take it

My first car when I turned 16 was a 1968 Javelin 290 v8 auto. Yes it was cool 8) After enjoying the car for two years it got hit hard in the front and was totaled

I don’t think the track bar will "pull" the truck down if its adjusted or not. the axel will just move if not adjusted and the springs will tilt from vertical. Every jeep would have this problem, as they have same or similar setup in the front. not every jeep leans just some. I have seen XJs lean. I also have seen CJs lean and they have leafs and no track bar My MJ with the factory suspension had a small lean to the driver side, after lift it still had the lean but was more noticeable and it was ½” or so I added one extra spring isolator and it sets perfectly level for the last 3+ years. So I think it’s the extra weight of the tank(in the case of the MJ) and the driver. If the track bar pulls it down on the driver side then so does the steering linkage when turning ?.. if thats what you think? ;) _________________

The irony is that the bot scouts never intended it to be a political statement for the war, but the people complaining about it are certainly making a political statement against the war. . Yes they did Bastards :grrrr:
