  5. Currently: I have about a 6.5" lift (6.5 front springs and SOA rear) the tires are just 31" but when they wear out I will replace with 33" I get around great with 31s I just want a little more tire so the 33s should do the trick And so you all know the black mountain park is free and it is better than the pics I had to scan these pic so they are kinda crappy ,but that place is so large me and my local wheeler buddies spent three days and still did not cover about half the trails.

  9. I think you know the problem The VIN is 1JTHR65T0HT053241 4 H Engine 2,5 litres, I-4, central injection you stated you have a 6cy in the truck now...4cy tach?
  10. Dude That looks great..you just needs some flares and don't worry about the trimming thats what makes it your truck.. stock trucks are for old men or the museum
  11. Do just what 87manche said above and add "remove all rockers and push rods keep them in order removed " this will make cleaning much easier then reinstall parts back in original locations

  16. Your all right Pete :) You know (some) other sites constantly bagger folks for asking questions and I see the "search first" response all the time I like the Comanche Club site because the majority of the folks here are not "stuck up” and just try to help that’s what makes this site one of the best on the web Keep up the good work Pete

  18. I think its false The vin number reads as a 1987 and the factory would not sell a truck That has a structural failure (he said the firewall and floor was repaired) They would not just repair it and sell it. they would have destroyed the unit
  19. I will take a large version
  20. That is very odd, I have an 88 std MJ I pulled the auto trans wiring from an 88 XJ and the tcu ecu and all the fuel injection is in One harness . It is Not a stand alone harness on mine, I have also checked several other MJ/XJ's and I have not yet seen a stand alone harness. If you happen accross another one lemme know I will take a pick of the spaghetti harness I have it is about 1/3rd of the underhood wiring on the MJ _________________ I was just trying to be helpful as I have done the swap on a couple rigs and they have been the same MJ (Renix)so I don’t know what else to tell you. (Maybe a XJ has the harness zip ties together?) But as you asked (If you happen across another one lemme know) you can look at My MJ anytime you like I have explained in as much detail as I can and if you follow the harness were it comes from the TCU (that’s behind the passenger lower dash panel) you will see it goes through the firewall all by itself and has its own rubber grommet and at no point is it related to the engine control harness as that runs out the through a giant plug on the driver side firewall Now I will say this based on a MJ
  21. Well I have no complaints with the full aal I ran that for about 1 full season and it looked to give a good 3" lift. then I went with a SOA and just run the stock springs as they give me about 6.5-7" lift
  22. There are three torx head bolts that hold the handle on the tails gate So if bed liner is covering them, you will have to get that off first Then there is a rod that goes to each side Now you should be able to take a thin flat blade screwdriver and "walk" the latch back to open the gate (look at were it latches near the top and slide the screw driver blade in against the latch and force it back enough to clear the latch boss) after the gate is open then you can remove them and replace the rod or the latch whatever has failed
  23. I have a 1988 and 1989 Comanche The tranny harness is not connected to the ignition harness and is completely stand alone on the 88 Comanche that I removed it from I switched complete drive-trains to put the 4x4 on the better body “the 89” All I know is that the tranny "TCU" and accompanying wire harness did not have any relationship to the "ECU" harness Now I only change the wire harness that was under the hood for the engine controls and such. I did not change anything inside the cab (except installing the "stand-alone transmission TCU and harness) . The power comfort switch plug was ready for use in the 89 Comanche as part of the existing in -cab harness. So if you just installed an AW4 into a Comanche that had a standard. All that was required for me was to remove the transmission, “TCU”-control box and harness from one truck and install on the other Also you will need to take the torque converter disconnect switch off the auto truck and install on the std truck (Looks like a GM brake light switch and is up high on the brake pedal) The plug for that was also part of the wire harness on the std shift truck
  24. I don't know about 3.5" But i have a set of full length 3" AAL I will part with if you can use them $40.00 shipped
