  1. What do you think guy like Cobra Marty are throwing at 4.0s? None of this is cheap, none of it. And seriously, I'd like to know what Alexia's bottom line is on his build.
  2. Those are not impressive numbers. Still chasing those illusive 4.0 dreams.........or are they nightmares? Ford got it right, Chrysler has never been anything but a fail. Sorry, just the way it is. So, when you see numbers like this.......vids and info all over the web (Ford Barra)...........I just don't understand what you guys are chasing? If you want beyond 400hp/tq ? V8 is the only sensible answer. But, here is Ford, beyond 1000hp- http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&title=XR6T-Beyond-1000hp&A=111552
  3. Ever hear of Holley TBI fuel injection? Yeah TBI fuel injection has gone high-tech.
  4. There's a little more to it than that they come in different flow rates You can't just pull one out of one side of a 350 Chevy TBI from the 90s and and toss it in your Single Barrel TBI I started out with a 55 lb injector and it was way too rich I currently have a 52 lb and if it's too rich 47 lb is stock I posted a link to motor man fuel injection and somebody else's thread just a couple of days ago I would not get one from RockAuto you're going to pay core Plus return shipping do get a better deal from motor man and you can actually talk to him You also want to request a couple of extra O-rings and the new upper spacer but you will not get from RockAuto and you'll want to replace that space or at least have a spare What would be interesting is to have a discussion on the topic of fuel injectors flow rates and spray patterns what effect that has on the ECM closed loop or open loop and fuel economy
  5. This is the first that I looked at this thread. I'm curious. Why are you bothering with Amazon at all? Why are you not selling your own shirts on your own?
  6. Yep and I'll have all that without the ugly switch panel
  7. It took me two years of searching to find a pair manual window doors and I haven't seen another pair since I bought mine
  8. The sandwich block has ports in it for some reason he wants the ports

    Jeep Fail

I've watched many of these test vids, never before have they installed a weight distributing hitch. Brake controller? Super fail. Tach? Pegged. Trans? Not so much. The best they can muster, huh?
  10. Sad to see this, man. You'll fix it.
  11. Excellent question. Spend your energy being original, why on earth would you want to do anything that everyone else is already doing? And besides, the new old thing is a bore already, don't be a bore.
  12. https://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/gsc-571.htm Military Wrap Front Eye Spring Capacity = 1700 Width = 2-1/2 # Leaves = 5(3/2) Measures (A/B) = 26 x 31 Pack Thickness (D) = 2-1/8 1/2" extra arch Rebound Style Clips with Clip Bolt Includes Bushings Sold Per Side - Order Quantity 2 For a Pair Made in USA This is the difference and it's noticeable. I've had both, the standard spring new and then the MW spring new. Only the MW spring is made in the US. A one inch shackle will net you 4.5 inches.
  13. Spring hanger is gone........rusted.......axle is cocked.
  14. Very simple question here- What are you doing with it that demands precisely 2200lbs payload?
  15. You decide if this is your carb.........if so..............one hell of a deal here- https://www.ebay.com/i/272339113105?chn=ps And under your $200 expectation. And as far as I know the 2.5 and 2.8 used the same carb.
  16. You are going to have to find someone willing to ship USPS Priority Flat Rate. Same price as domestic. PM me if you seriously cannot find a favorable deal with shipping........I'll be happy to ship to you.
  17. How are you guys testing the flow rate? Just curious.

    Why Jeep?

Last night we had what I call a mico-burst, one hell of a short lived storm. Had to be near 90mph winds, hurricane forces I've not seen since life in FL. Why Jeep? Practical purposes, off to the back-40 where I can cut it up and burn it later. Ground is wet and our soil here is TN clay, slimiest S--- known to man. Drug it off like it was nothing.
  19. It's likely that one is electronically controlled and one is not. I'm with the others here, Holley or Weber, but that won't be cheap and to get the full benefit you'll likely want an intake change. I've shipped parts to PR so I know for a fact that getting parts there is not an issue, price/cost may be though. Intake and carb will probably be in the $600 to $700 range.
  20. What you don't see is the suspension in action.
  21. You still have a deep pan in the front. Here is an LS pan..........you can get similar for SBC from a Camaro- Poor representation of an axle slice and patch but I've seen this done for pan clearance. And you are likely to have steering issues as well. I'm just pointing out what you'll have to overcome and why you don't see anyone else doing it.
  22. This is your problem.
  23. Why will you get flack? I'm not big on Ford, maybe there is some variation that I'm not aware of, but of that era the sump is in the front of the engine, right where the front axle is. I'm assuming you are not lifted and you are not going 4X. You are going to have clearance issues all over the place, hood clearance, axle, exhaust, probably the trans tunnel.......check your length as it relates to the radiator and accessories, you have to have room for a radiator and a fan. You'll have to make your own mounts, none exist that I'm aware of. Whatever you do, do not cut the frame, anywhere. This makes the difference between a mechanic and a hack.........just my honest opinion. Don't be a hack.
  24. There may be, or should be, a bearing in that housing.
