Checked the MPG - - 16.8 mostly 25/30 mile day time round trips wi AC on & 70/75 onna hiway - - - Started noticing MPG decline awhile back - - Truck ran ok just using a little more gas - - 89 with a 91 4.0 Aw4 4wd - - Somewhere around 162K - - Doesn't get driven ever day or week so keeping track of kinds of use/trips can be iffy for me - - - All the usual/normal mpg killers checked out ok but had no idea how old the O2 sensor was, so put in a SMP SG1829 about 6 weeks back - Drove it a little more'n usual & ckd MPG on 2nd tankfull after new O2 - - - Most places here, a little South of St Louis, went to 3.59/gallon today . :MJ 2: .

Tough luck for sure - Good to hear you're coming out of it - - I absolutely dread going to those types of repair facilities - Their warranties aren't much & WHY does my RMS have to be checked each trip? - - - - Take it easy on your valve job's three month break in - You'll be OK :thumbsup:

Some things I learned the hard way - Starting with my friend and long time service center owner - long story, but I did learn some about DW Anyway - - - Fast & dirty - - Rotate your tires - - Imbalance will cause DW Get away from a so called mechanic not familiar with a Jeep front end/suspension If the ball joints need replacing - Do it check the track bar - Don't know how many miles on your MJ - - TBs lead a hard life - - and the shocks and the U&L controll arm bushings - everything, but ck the TB 1st One thing atta time - - The shotgun approach can confuse the issue - - Keep an eye on your battery - - DW'll shake all kinds things loose No mention of a lift or other suspension mods - - Avoid any parts pusher advocating an alignment for now unless you've recently run over/into something hard enough to cause damage Google this: site:comancheclub.com death wobble Tons of info/pics/diagrams - - DWs been beat to death here, NAXJA, Pirate4x4 & Ann Landers - You'll notice lots of repeat info here & at other places if you use the google site search :wrench:

You're wanting to add an electric fan, correct? Not hard at all - Been covered here on CC many times - - Gonna need a new/used fan & means to control it, like a toggle switch or a temp switch & relay or all three - A pic of your T stat housing will help with getting advice/opinions going - What kind of budget? Does your radiator have a fitting for a temp switch? Won't take long & It's easy - - I've done to both of my MJs - DonH has a slick set up - Mine is pretty much the same - - Anyway, easy enough - $ amount/scrounging ability/intended use info needed - - - Good ideas in DIY - Dual fan mod :wrench:
