No, it's all-natural citrus acid and extracts. Harmless to paint. I was thinking of Goof Off which is xylene.

I used Xylene, available at any hardware store, to remove the adhesive from the body side molding without any paint damage. I think Goo Gone is xylene.

I like the caps from Federated Auto Parts they haven't leaked in my 4.0s.

Replace it, don't bother rebuilding it. Many members recommend ones from the dealer over after market. :dunno:
