Have you checked the EGR system? My '90 4.0 had similar problems that were resolved when I changed the EGR valve. Not sure if the 2.5L has an EGR.

There are several plugs in the firewall. I used one about a foot to the left of the brake master cylinder for some switches. I cut a slit in the plug and fed the wires through.

I have a gray one and a maroon one. Where in Europe are you? So I can calculate shipping to see if it's feasible.

I think you got one right, the center green one to the Solenoid. Orange goes to Ballast Resistor. Black/White to Ignition. Green from the black/white bundle to Ground.

The accessory guide actually calls them "Sport Bars" not Roll Bars.

What about the most important part, did you lose any of your hooch? ;)

I kind of like the Waggy front end, on the other hand it makes it look like a Chevy. So overall I'm torn :dunno: .
