Water/antifreeze bottle
MJRemi replied to Old man with MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Try ebay or teamcherokee. You may want to upgrade to the open system installed in the latter year cherokees. There's plenty of project how-to's in CC and NAXJA. -
1) The B-pillar lights are all about careful prying. They snap in place and the cover snaps on to the frame. Many members have switched over to a modern replacement from Euramtec and like the look. 3) There is a cable that runs from the seat lever to the hook lever at the back of the seat frame. You'll need to peel away the seat coverings to see exactly what is wrong but it's not hard to remedy. 4) The floor pans are not exact but might be close enough to use the fitted mats. Call the vendors to see if you can return them if your not happy with the fit.

I recently drove home from there. I helped my son drive back to CA when he was discharged from Scott AFB. Sorry to hear all the BS media circus witch hunt goings on.

If you're anywhere near So. Cal. I have a AMC20 MJ rear with 4:10s , LSD, and all new brakes. $150.

I know there is a thread listing "other" Comanches but I'm too lazy to look for it. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/msg/4630152612.html and just saw this in L.A. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/msg/4635096945.html

I have a black camper shell I will sell. It's aluminum but all the glass and screens are intact. It has a slider at the front and a locking handle with a key. Other than dusty, it's in near new condition. $200. Escondido is just north of San Diego.

Do you mean wheel as in rim & tire, brake drum, or wheel hub? If it's the hub, you can put the drum back on and two lug nuts at the ends of the lug bolts. Grab the drum and pull hard and fast hitting the lug nuts a few times to break it free. Of course I assume all the backing plate bolts are out so the axle can slide.

Something else to ponder is the ice caps are fresh water melting into less dense sea water. The fresh water sinks down into the oceans and can alter habitat and ocean currents. Who knows what the long term effects can bring.

Here you go. 4:10 gears LSD All new brakes and fresh Lucas LSD Diff fluid. Fill plug welded to front cover. Only 36 hours from Boston. $250.

Did it work before and then stopped? Is it a 2 spoke or 3 spoke wheel? Under the left headlight assembly is your horn and the wires can get corroded or loose. Check the connections and be sure the horn ground is also in good shape.

John, your PM box won't accept new messages. PM me your ph# so I can call you . Thanks, Remi.

Axle Seal Replacement Need Help Asap
MJRemi replied to ggcnash's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've only re-sealed axles on a AMC20 and did not have to seal anything inside the differential. The fluid should be able to reach the axle shafts and the seal on the hub end keeps it all inside the axle tubing. Yours may be different but I doubt it. -
I think they call it a Riberty in Japan.

If you want to make one, Hornbrod did a write up in the DIY section. It's better than factory.

I found it. It's a Canadian TV show called Newsroom.

First, what movie is that? Second, when my boys growing up asked me the difference between political parties, I broke it down to a simple example. If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he will probably vote for the other guy because he is lazy and doesn't want to fish for himself. That was a great clip.

I haven't gotten a quote yet, in fact I ended up buying another property in WA and the SC has just been sitting. I'm torn between towing it up there as a spare truck or selling it from San Diego. I won't be restoring it like I wanted and if any member would like to PM me about buying it, I'll give a great deal including a bunch of extras I have to go with it.
-
Sounds like you need to come out to CA to buy mine. I haven't put it up for sale yet but the bed is sitting on jack stands in my back yard and is essentially rust free. I parted out my 86 and only have the bed and fuel tank left. It was 86 degrees today and not a cloud to be seen.

You're welcome! I wouldn't be upset if the Chargers played a good game and still lost to Peyton and company since the Broncos are the better team BUT the Bolts essentially played poorly and failed to make key plays when it mattered. I mean, c'mon, 3rd and 16 and we don't cover the receivers? That's just stupid defense. And letting Rivers get sacked every few minutes didn't help. Well Jim, I hope Denver can pull it off against the Pats but I have a feeling we're going to see New England and Seattle in the Superbowl. Good Luck!!

There's a slide-out tab at the base of the arm where it slides off the splined mount. Pull the tab and gently pry the arm straight up the mount. I place something as a base to prevent damage to the paint.

They are the same as the front doors of a 4 door Cherokee up to 1996. In '97 the XJ got the one-piece glass in the front doors but also got better weatherstripping.

There's a 86 at A & B Auto Wrecking in San Diego but they pull the parts for you and are a little pricey.

You would be hard pressed to find a CC member who could sell his MJ for what he has into it, let alone make a profit. Most of us take a financial beating when we sell but it is what it is. I've sold 4 of my 5 Comanches in the past couple years and am now going to sell the last one I have, which is the Street Comanche. I'm sure to lose money but I can't justify spending any more on these old trucks unless I win a lottery.
