Broken Leaf Spring Center Pins
MJRemi replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Unless you really want to spend your day with a drill, why not take the leaf packs to a machine shop? They probably wouldn't charge a whole lot and you would have more time to clean that filthy truck of yours. -
Ax-15 To Ax-15 Shifter Interchangeability.
MJRemi replied to Oddmodman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Be aware some shift levers from yj/tj vary in angle and can make contact with the dash in a MJ. You can transfer your MJ lever over if you need to.- 2 replies

Hey Kevin, I think your wife's machine was manufactured in Japan based on the way it prints out the letters. You should get her one from the U.S.A to get the horizontal patterns.

I'm not familiar with OR except for driving through on 5. PM me if you want to arrange a meet in mid-June.

Whereabouts in Oregon? If you are near Interstate 5, I can sell you a tan or white one on my way to WA.

I thought that was the entrance to Jim's property!

You would only put some in your oil a couple days before an oil change to break up sludge and make the oil change more efficient.

I actually had to put any and all projects on hold for a few months until I get back from WA State. I'm going to be up there for a month looking at properties and if I decide to buy something, I will need to have all my money freed up for a down payment. If I don't buy anything, I will begin the conversion or restoration when I get back. If I go the EV route I will start a Projects thread and keep CC informed with lots of tech and photos.

It does look to be in great condition. The bent rear bumper and Peugeot transmission don't help but I hope he gets a good price. Realistically, 1/2 of his asking price would still be on the high side of market price.

Let's not forget the MF has a family who will sue the victim ( homeowner ) for wrongful death, no matter what the criminal outcome is. Their poor little Tweeker Joe or Jose Mijo was the pride and joy of the family. Although his years of criminal behavior and costs to victims and taxpayers is not their responsibility in any way, they demand justice ( $$ ) for their loss at the hands of the hard working citizen who dares to defend his life and property. Whew, I need a nap.

Perhaps if you had gotten a little more sleep you would have remembered the lessons regarding punctuation. Just messin' with ya!! :D

It's easiest to unbolt the 3 bolts in each bumper bracket to the frame. Most likely Torx bolts and you can see them if you crane your neck from below/behind the bumper. Support the bumper so it doesn't fall on you but usually you need to wiggle the bumper off the frame rails. The fender flares are held on with several small bolts and you need to remove the nuts you can see along the inner well. You may also find a screw under the forward end of the flare attached the the sheet metal. Don't be surprised if some of the flare bolts snap off. The rubber shield behind the bumper can have a combination of plastic and metal rivets and even a couple bolts. Take your time and remove all fasteners as cleanly as possible. That will pay off during re-installation.

I don't think I'll order this one but a couple years ago, when Pacquioa was in his prime, I would have loved to see him fight Mayweather. Manny is on the downhill slope now so we will never know.

Pic Of Evap Canister In A 4.0 Renix Engine Bay
MJRemi replied to drase's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have the bracket I can sell but the canister is from a 86 and is slightly different in design although size is the same. Since the canister processes fuel vapor, be sure to use correct size fuel rated rubber lines to prevent corrosion of the hoses. -
Rear Brakes-Main Hardline Broken Above Gas Tank
MJRemi replied to JWARNE's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think you have to remove the tank in order to remove the bed. If not, it's a lot easier to remove the tank than the bed. There are several youtube videos and web threads that explain flaring and bending but if you are not confident you should have a shop repair the line and properly bleed the brakes. Safety should be first priority. -
Thanks Rob, CA is about $170 ( for the Hyundai ) to renew registration but it gets reduced a little each year. My MJ is $67 but needs emissions every 2 years, which is a roll of the dice to pass or not. Since my son is military I think he might be eligible for a waiver from smog if he lives out of state, but I'm not sure. He's only stationed at Scott for 2 years so he'll have to decide which way to go on registration.

My son just transferred to Scott AFB and we have transferred title of our 09 Hyundai Elantra to him. He now has the car from CA with him. The registration fees are about $180 if he keeps CA plates but I was wondering if he would be better off registering in IL . I'm not sure if he will be exempt from CA emissions but I would think he is. Any insight to vehicle registration costs in IL would be helpful.

This is it but no pics: http://teamcherokee.com/door-check-pin-w-nuts-cherokee-1984-2001/ Sorry, I just re-read the ad and it's for the pin, not the check arm. Look through TeamCherokee, I was sure I'd seen the check arms on there.

I have the entire tail harness from a 86 parts truck. PM me with exactly what you need.

Don't be hatin'! A rising tide raises all ships! Maybe sales like this can bring more value to all our trucks (or not). I really liked the Scrambler that Don posted and there was a blue 1st Gen Bronco 1/2 cab that looked pretty sweet. I was hoping to see a Ranchero since I've been eyeballing a few on CL in So. Cal.
