  1. Exactly! If you don't want the pin on the opposite side of the axle, then keep it on the original position. The plates are the same. It's where they are mounted which determines if the shock mount is forward or aft of the axle, not the wheelbase. I've had several sets of shock mount plates from SB and LB and have seen no difference.
  2. Wheelbase length doesn't matter. You can flip the plates around from the opposite side either way.
  3. And they should hire Dennis Leary to do the ad in his famous rant style.
  4. I've seen flexible magnetic wands that would probably work. Auto parts stores or Sears should have them.

    Window Handle

This is at TeamCherokee.com and is the cordovan. Why it says it replaces the tan crank is beyond me. http://teamcherokee.com/manual-window-crank-handle-cordovan-red-cherokee-comanche-1984-1992/
  6. This is a factory hidden winch bumper I saw in Washington.
  7. I hid my credit cards in a safe place when we moved to our current home. That was 22 years ago. Still looking.
  8. I don't believe there is a difference in 4x or 2x AX15 bell housings. One thing to consider is installing a external slave housing which came out in the mid 90s XJs. There are write ups on that and you wouldn't have to drop the tranny if the slave cylinder goes bad.
  9. You could sell 15 or 20 of your MJs and buy this one.
  10. This one has been for sale for a while. It's 4x4, 4.0, 5spd. Asking price is just that. Worth looking into. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ssd/cto/3965996570.html
  11. 1987 was the only year.
  12. I'm buying in Sequim in Clallam County. I live in CA so 1976 or newer needs testing and CA isn't lenient. My truck is too small for the job that lies ahead so I'll get an older truck next time I get up there. I'll try to research whether Clallam tests or not.
  13. The mouldings and bumpers appear correct, as is the year. If you see him again get that plaque # and VIN for the Club.
  14. I'm buying a house in WA and might buy a truck I can leave up there for when I make sporadic trips to fix up the place. What is the cut-off years for avoiding emissions? I thought about taking my 87 but I really need a 8' bed to lug equipment and materials.
  15. I think Jim is the love child of The Most Interesting Man in the World and Chuck Norris!

  17. Without pics it's difficult to help you out. Find a known vacuum connector (there are several) in the engine bay and connect it to one of them. Confirm you have two lines coming from the canister which is located inside the R side front bumper. Follow the lines away from the canister until you see where they are connected. One of them should connect to a junction connector near the firewall. The loose line can be plugged onto that junction if there is room.
  18. Sounds like a vacuum line leak to the heater box. Check the lines from the firewall to the vacuum canister first since that is the easiest to inspect.
  19. Yeah, but now you have a broken window at your apartment where your friend had to force entry to get the spare key.

  22. Hey Bebop, I grew up in the 70's and you remind me of the Hippy Dippy Weatherman!! And yeah, I get mistook for the kid in Deliverance.
  23. Here is a CL Comanche in So. Cal. which the Owner/Seller has no title for and it's actually a pretty nice truck. I would jump on it but CA is a stickler for title, even if it's to sell to a junkyard. He doesn't list an asking price but if I could get it for $300ish, I'd buy it. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/3925706452.html
  24. I do believe the Chinese will pay good money for your gall bladder. It's used as an aphrodisiac and is coveted by vasectomy survivors.
  25. I can't recall where but I have seen the latch assembly for sale from a retailer. Check JEGS, LMC, etc. and I think you'll find it.
