  1. I think the post was from here...http://radiatorbarn.com/search.php?product=radiator It doesn't seem to want to link so just got to their website.
  2. This reminds me of the beautiful model that had her face re-arranged by the airplane propeller. :(
  3. I've got a set of the 4+1 MT springs from the 86. I was going to restore the Street Comanche to mimic the Thunder Chief but have decided to stick to the original "street" concept, so I am willing to part with them. PM me for negotiations if you are interested. Image Not Found Image Not Found
  4. I sold my 88 that was essentially the same set-up and I got $2500. Mine wasn't MT Edition but it was a rust free CA truck. Check thoroughly for rust and electrical gremlins and offer accordingly.
  5. AX15 is from mid 89-92 for 4.0L and the AW4 is from 86 or 87-92.
  6. Well that's just great! Before you know it, the lead singer will become a judge on American Idol.
  7. I think you can use windshield rated silicone or urethane sealant. Or...for less than a new window, you can take the OE with you to a auto glass installer and have them install it for you. Most installers have some sort of warranty against leaks.
  8. If your spare is in good condition, just swap that one in. There is a decent write-up in DIY that will help you a lot. I have a after-market in my shed as a back-up but can't say if the quality is the same as OE. It looks to be of good quality and I got it for $20 from a parts truck.

  11. Check this one out! http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/3517739340.html
  12. The only AMC I've ever owned was a 76 Hornet wagon. Now that was a chick-magnet! I like the looks of the 2dr Rambler but would swap in modern everything. I don't think this guy will get anywhere near 7k, I just thought it was a cool looking AMC. I'm still up for a meet n greet if you have time. Let me know!

    I Want One!

So who owns that MJ-10 now?
  15. To my knowledge, and by observation, I don't think a plastic plate was installed but both trucks were twenty-something when i acquired them so I can't say what might've been there originally. I would think a plastic skid plate to protect the metal skid plate doesn't make much sense unless it's more of a mud shield or something like that.
  16. Both of my LWBs had the metal skid tanks. This one had some dried mud in it but a good wash and rattle can enamel will bring it back to "like new".
  17. I have one off my LWB parts truck that I will sell but shipping to Indy might be prohibitive. If you do want it I can post pics. No rust, no dents.
  18. The ballast resistor has been MIA on the 87 since I bought it and I haven't noticed any problems, but then again, I don't drive it very much. If I really need one, I will upgrade with Don's idea. Does anyone know what, exactly, the resistor function is and why my truck runs just fine without it?
  19. Jimoshel: I do plan on a meal at the Buckhorn exchange, it will all depend on weather as to which route I take, if its bad i can stay south and then head north up I25 and I will go through Pueblo I will probally speed though because I heard rumors you snatch of every comanche you see. :D That's not true at all! It's not a rumor.

    Finally Got One

That's a good idea. I thought about buying a cheapo engine and ax15 for practice but space is getting a little tight. I need to clear out some unwanted parts first. Have fun with it!

    My "new" Amc 20

I went back and forth on the drain plug idea but decided to skip it based on the infrequency of needing to drain the differential of a street truck. I kinda wish I had but it's too late now.

    My "new" Amc 20

Having decided to restore Red October and swap in the AMC 20 from the 86 parts truck, I tore it down and replaced the seals, bearings, brakes, and hardware. I also had a fill plug pipe welded to the cover due to the OE plug being stripped and frozen. After a little engine enamel paint and Lucas LSD gear oil, she's ready for the metric ton springs to go back on under some lowering blocks. I may start a "projects" thread for this truck just to keep track of the transition from near death to better than new. Before Image Not Found After Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  23. I just saw this post but those don't look like any rear brackets I've seen on my trucks. Has anyone used these with success?
  24. I don't believe anyone makes new brackets but a few guys might have some for sale. Also, parts trucks and having some made at a shop can be options. Shortbed and longbed brackets are not the same length so be certain which ones you need. Post up in the wanted section and put your location. You might find a seller.
  25. I didn't know I was limited to 200 messages. I just emptied the Conversation folder so it should be OK now.
