Thanks for pointing to that. @Jesse J The thread above is how you can get your B Pillar trim replaced easiest.

Funny, I was thinking about that thread, it listed the SEM paint colors that closely matched OEM?

Already buying my 2nd MJ...
BeatCJ replied to Tentrax_Brent's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Looks like no rear bumper, dings on the rear quarters, peeling clear coat, missing grille, excessive tire wear on the inside edge of the front tires, hacked up battery cables, no battery tie down (safety item there). I bet they took it on trade cheap. -
Oh, I get it. And we do have a paved private road we have to maintain, and we just get an annual dues notice, no harassment. So, I actually get something from my $250. I wish they had built it to county standards in the 70's, and it was a county road, I already pay almost twice that as part of my property taxes. Who's going to be the Tax Collector for Comanche Island? 1 - 2 - 3 Not it!
-
Holy Cats! I won't complain about my $250 a year.

it would probably annoy me less than my annual road maintenance dues...

Is it legal to bait for thieves in New Hampshire? Is there a bag limit?

I saw a great floor spray on Pirate done by USMCDOC14 using this, and adding extra crumb rubber and glass microspheres. Kind of the direction I am planning on going, then adding the vinyl floor mats over it. Coats and waterproofs, helps reduce road noise, then hide the ribs and parking brake cable. https://www.amazon.com/Linerxtreeme-spray-Bedliner-gallon-Black/dp/B008IGKIOG

A Bolens, perchance?

Swapping a Comanche axles into a Comanche should give you about the right pinion angle. I would look elsewhere. Something you changed?

My stepdad ordered a 1987 F-350 4x4 diesel. He had a turbo, Aluminum wheels and 35x12.50/16.5 BFG ATs, color matched canopy and a chocolate sheepskin installed before he picked it up. The seat cover lasted until 2012 before I had to get rid of it, with just over 300,000 miles on it. So yeah, the good ones are nice. My daughter is spending a bunch of money getting it remanufactured. Third owner, still in the family.

Naw, just put a row of pikes with Angry grilles all around it.

It's giving me access denied. I suspect you have it saved in your private Google Drive.

I would buy one or more at $20, $25 or so.

Mine is like that, which it is in my garage until I can get the door seals and windshield replaced. After that, then I will start searching for leaks. Mine is a slow leak on the passenger side, the driver side will fill up 2 inches overnight.

Short bed Snugtop LaFollette, Tn

I really wish that was within (reasonable) driving distance. -
I have granddaughter in my house that is entering kindergarten. Watching her parents try to help her with schooling has been painful. Her attention span is so short that by the time she is done with assignments everyone is frazzled. She can handle the Virtual Classroom herself, but the school work, reading directions, making letters on a touch screen is very difficult. I believe we will have a significant number of kids that are behind next school year.

Or put them on his OTHER Comanche. -
Wrong again. What I found easiest was to just pull the drum off, hose it down, blow it out, WD-40 everything then use brake cleaner on the shoes and drums. But NEVER EVER EVER let it wait. PNW. Believe me, I know mud. Somewhere I have a photo of my CJ getting the strap, with water in the floorboards. Changed fluids in the transmission, transfer case, axles.

I would say absolutely not. Ford 8.8 center section will hang down lower, I would bet the tubes are thinner wall than your 44, it's narrower than your 44. Maybe I'm just old, but I really don't have an issue with drum brakes. My first 3 cars were drum brakes front and rear, so I guess I just got used to them. Discs ARE easier to work on, cool better, and the self adjuster works, but I never really had that much issue with my drum brakes. It will probably be less expensive to keep your axle, set it up the way you want it than to get an 8.8 that does the same thing. I have an 8.8, as the backup replacement to the 8.25 I swapped into my son's Cherokee. I'm not a naysayer, I have just examined the strengths and weaknesses for our uses. He destroyed his D35, so I had to do something. I flailed a little bit.

Company truck, 2004 Ford Explorer. On my time, 2001 GMC DRW, great trailer tower. 2 oil changes a year, except when I loaned it to my son and his room mate. They racked up 30,000 miles in a year.

How much something like that would go for is so subjective that it's just too hard to guess. If you find the right buyer, (someone looking for an MJ Dana 44) it could be worth a significant amount, $500 to $1000, maybe? If it were mine, I would keep it, and spend the money to get it geared the way I wanted it. The Trash-Lok is as good as any other clutch type limited slip, and it almost always needs rebuilt. It seems like intended service life on the clutch packs is somewhere in the range of 30,000 to 50,000 miles. They aren't expensive to replace, and can be done yourself. But in a Dana 44, you have to deal with the carrier break, (3.73 and down from memory?).

I was merely a Second Class. Almost First Class, then we moved, and there were no troops anywhere near. Of course, about that time I got involved in High school activities, too, so I was probably near the end of my career, anyway. I feel unworthy in the presence of all of you paragons of excellence!
