AMC, Jeep, Eagle 83 to 92, Chrysler Plymouth 92 to 99, back to Jeep till 02. Had lots of bus issues with CP not so much with Jeep. The connecters for this TSB looked EXACTLY the same as what you were replacing, I believe this TSB was just a half assed attempt to repair something they were not sure about as it was intermittent problem, I suspect this is the reason the parts manager and I could not find anything about it in later years, she remembered the TSB as we did quite a few she was service manager at the time so she kept up on info coming into the shop

There was TSB about erratic operation and possible false TPS code set, I replaced a lot of these connecters per TSB and could not see any difference between new and old and don't know if it ever fixed anything, my 99 XJ had the same problem as described in TSB including TPS code, I believe this was in 2007 the dealership that I had worked at could not find any info on TSB or part #s related to this. I tightened terminals on original and seemed to help out with erratic gauges but TPS code kept coming back till it was replaced it, tightening connecters helped as gauges would weird out once or twice a week before then once or twice a year after, from then on I would just bang on dash when it would happen and all would be OK for a few more months

Can those bearing caps be transferred from one head to another? usually they are machined to one head and can't be swapped

Parking brake cables
Warren Mohler replied to Warren Mohler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
think I can get the idea, my springs are further back towards the axle, raining here too when it gets better I'll crawl under and see if this will make a difference, will likely replace cables anyway as I will need rear shoes before long and cables are worn from contact and 30 years of use, Thanks -
Interesting Rockauto order problem w/ park brake cables
Warren Mohler replied to schardein's topic in The Pub
look at the fingers that lock the cable to backing plate very close I bought Raybestos cables for my XJ after snapping into backing plate cable housing would pull right out of fingers like it wasn't crimped properly, happened with both cables, returned to napa and got Wagner they worked ok -

would like to see that, mine have factory springs still in good shape but aren't doing the job, two fishing kayaks and a days worth of gear and my truck will turn every head going down the road very loud, Thanks -
Still not starting/running
Warren Mohler replied to 86customanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My MJ was my second vehicle for many years, there was a three year period where it was not driven more than two hundred miles and had the same gas the whole time and that was with ethanol gas, always ran great. When I started using it more was after I purchased my boat but still did not get many miles so at the end of boating season the truck always got the leftover two cycle and still ran fine I believe this thing would run on turpentine -
On certain members profile page at the top I see Days won, what does that mean? aren't all MJ owners winners

Three part question, are the rear cables the same length for long and short beds? Did MJ's ever use center mounted brake lever like XJ? Has any one had this problem, with a moderate load in my long bed the cables contact inner wheel weights and make an ungodly banging noise, each has a spring that appears to be there to keep cables pulled inboard but don't do the job. I have standard turbo wheels so I don't believe spacing is the problem and I can't see any other way to route them

how are the plugs? are they black? does it blow black smoke when it does start? -
been there, take it slow and get on the mend

I'm just picky about that stuff. I do like the second wrap my XJ broke the eye on top of the bushing, rode sort of squirrely till I found and fixed

are the bushings not pressed deep enough? looks odd

most autos have a band that applies to give you reverse -
then the "B" wire has a problem either a faulty door switch, headlamp switch or grounded wire
