  1. Good point! The gun is not the problem, if the Gov. took every KNOWN LEGAL gun away tomorrow how many hundreds of thousand of them would be left and in whose hands? As responsible gun owners what can we do to keep gun out of the hands of the nut bags that are committing such crimes? We can't. What CAN we do? We can't stop adults that have snapped and do these things, it's going to happen. Can we teach our kid's moral values, that ALL live's matter, the difference between right and wrong? Yes we can. I drive a school bus for a living, every day I am responsible for transporting as many as 140 elementary and high school students. It is disturbing to see the lack of guidance that a lot of them show. My largest stop is approx. 30 students I approach this stop and they are spread across half a city block all looking at their phones, that phone and whats on it is more important than the person to their left and right. Antisocial? What can we do? A lot of my kid's are great people and show a lot of promise a lot are not. Why, it's beyond me. Is the percentage of good and bad the same as it was fifty years ago just that many more of us? Gun control won't stop it, education and solid family values I believe will go a long way to help. In the mean time as the owner of many firearms including an AR15 I am doing what I believe to be the best thing by having them locked up all but one just in case it's needed. I don't have kids in the house but I fell this is a start on my part to keep my weapons where they belong and urge all gun owners to do the same. If you can afford an AR15 or any firearm you should afford a safe place to keep it.

  3. It's not uncommon for 4.0L to seep at head gskt. HO more than Renix. Easy fix I pull lower hose to drain coolant (less mess than petcock) undo two nuts for exhaust, unhook fuel lines, loosen rockers and remove push rods (keep in order) set wire harness and ign. wires aside, move A/C compressor aside, remove head bolts starting at ends working inward, pull head intake and exhaust in place, engine hoist is nice but a friend will do (heavy). That's pretty much it. I've done this job on a lift in about three hours on the floor give yourself the better part of a day
  4. are all intake valves seating proper? push rods too long, valve springs weak, was cam "broken in". How does it start. timing, how long since rebuild, any miles, has it done this from initial start up?
  5. couple hour job, if it runs well just gskt.
  6. One of mine turned out last time I replaced clutch
  7. Agree my local yard wouldn't even charge for that
  8. I would use OEM if price is reasonable, since 85 I have never seen one break, weak link is the pin and body side mount
  9. Check fuel pressure reg. for leak to vac. hose
  10. Isn't this held in Carlisle, Pa. this year?
  11. I didn't save seller info-dumb on my part, I am trying to find.
  12. I am also looking to add A/C, E-bay has a seller based in Texas, aftermarket kit complete about $1400 I called the company and the guy said they have been in business for years and sell a quality kit, I asked about idle control and was told the newer compressors don't pull as much power as older units but idle-up kits were also available if needed. MJ kit was not listed on E-bay site the guy said it was similar to wrangler and all in dash also stated they could put A/C in anything. Has anyone dealt with them? or used their system?
  13. You may be able to tighten them look for screws around pivots to tighten
  14. On the top of page two I asked a question. I am glad to hear it's fixed. Years ago I replaced a turn signal switch in a Renault 18I Renix system next to steering column were two wires same color with M and F connectors not hooked up, I ASSUMED I pulled them apart while installing switch and hooked them together wrapped up the job tested opp. and parked, locked it up started walking away when I realized it was still running key in hand, guess who felt like an idiot having to tear it all back apart. Wires were not shown in diagram can only assume were used to run engine before final assembly. We all attend that school at some time.
  15. Yes, buy at most auto parts stores 1/2 inch wide roll so you have to use several strips and trim with X-acto knife
  16. Use 3M trim tape should come back off with little residue
  17. Turn your bleed screw in till proper idle speed s achieved, you may want to clean that passage and screw before doing so, bleed screw has an O-ring on it to keep in position and seal
  18. A flat plug is anti tamper cover that is easily removed to access torx screw
  19. I would certainly try removing it, proper throttle adjustment would require this air bleed I would think, looking at bleed screw it appears to be on the verge of falling out, remove that plug and adjust idle to spec and see what happens you can always put it back
  20. SEM Sante Fe 15123 is a perfect match for the light beige or sand I believe Jeep called it
