Thank you, I should use some of this down time to bone up on this stuff, I just got Chrome recently, and it SO different from the old explorer, learned a little about bookmarks with this, now if I could figure out how to transfer all my saved web sites in "favorites" to "bookmarks" would be a good start, something I'll have to work on

Please forgive my computer ignorance, Is there a way to save info found on the forum to my profile page or tag it in some way so when it's needed in the future I can find without spending hours doing a search?

I got it running! Theres out I wasnt lined up with the correct cam tooth, just had to advance the oil pump driveshaft clockwise a tiny bit. I also found this picture which helped give me a better visual of rotor/dist placement at TDC. After doing the process so many times I guess I'm an expert in Renix dist replacement now. 😀😥☹🤷♂️ Now to replace my 98 XJ distributor....

I bought these from Harbor Freight about ten years ago less than $150 and work great. I am not a big fan of HF but for something I don't use often can't see spending way too much $

any Ford Focus owners here?

If it's a rubber gskt. in a groove I doubt it came out. Look close at head gskt. a lot of newer engines have a oil return or drain at the rear corners of the head -
Did you get their foam kit? or just go over original foam, looks nice. that will be my next investment to interior

Finally, switch trim covers!
Warren Mohler replied to ghetdjc320's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yep I have been leaving them lay since they already had cut outs for switches I don't need, but if solid blank faces are available I'll pick em up. passed up at least a dozen recently--- all years were like that without factory switches- 38 replies

Finally, switch trim covers!
Warren Mohler replied to ghetdjc320's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Here's a twist without switches already this is what I have, four mount tabs to mount directly to bezel no white plastic box to screw to dash. Any variations like this? or am I off to the JY again- 38 replies

Slider window seal and latch?
Warren Mohler replied to m2bandit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Advance Auto has two kinds of 3M mirror glue, regular and extra strong I used ES for my factory latch, worked great, sand any paint off glue surface first -
Don't go throwing parts at it, if it runs ok after it starts doubt that is the problem. Try cranking like one revolution then go WOT while still in crank and see what happens DON'T PUMP
-
The only thing the gas pedal will do for you is if you go WOT cranking, then you are in "clear flood mode" ECU shuts down fuel to clear excess fuel. Question, is your hard start condition cold-hot or all the time? Keep in mind all Renix 4.0L are slow to start compared to newer model EFI automobiles

Recently I posted parts for sale, thought I followed all instructions, several parts listed in one add, when one part sold I listed it sold in title, while other parts were still available, when rechecking add I can't find it anywhere in classifieds or in my activity log. Am I doing something wrong? I see other parts listed and marked SOLD that are months old. I assumed if I marked one part sold add would stay posted till all parts were sold. Any input out there?

Clutch Pedal with Bracket
Warren Mohler replied to Cali Cruse's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
when it "ruptures the seal" does it leak into the cab of the truck? -
I did all hard plastics also door panels and arm rests without adhesion promoter-no problems, dash panel is similar to armrests if painting kick panels and lower side trim I would recommend the promoter as it is a different type of plastic and is not affected by acetone
