  1. I think this tan color. Definitely one of my favorite MJ colors.
  2. Depends on the part and the year of the Grand Cherokee. Body and interior parts are a no. Some mechanical parts and front suspension parts will interchange.

    wireless earbuds?

Noise cancellation is awesome in public places like airports or libraries. You can still here some stuff, but most of the just annoying noise is gone.
  4. That turned out very well
  5. What did this process look like? How’d you get the ceramic on the header? I was always under the impression that the ceramic coating was similar to powder coating. I did do a similar curing process when I used header paint on my Eagle.
  6. Thank you! They are very beefy looking. And they also have brackets that bolt underneath the bed and bolt to the frame. Jeep called them sport bars because they didn’t want the liability of people using them as roll bars and not being strong enough, but I think one would keep a person safe in a low speed rollover. Or at the very least, give the people in the truck time to escape.
  7. Here’s a few pics of the roll bar since you said that one picture is acting up.
  8. The roll bar is absolutely the way to go. Pete has a good point by saying you should learn what they look like and then just do generic searches for one. I’d also keep my eyes out for a cheap MJ with a roll bar and buy the whole truck. Someday I’d like to reproduce them, but that’s a couple of years down the road.
  9. I looked for either a factory sport bar or a correct topper for my MJ four a couple of years and never found one. I gave up and put a tonneau cover on my truck instead. A few months later, I owned both a topper and a sport bar. Moral of this story: don’t look too hard. One will turn up, you just need to be ready to jump on it when it does. And it’s not uncommon for them to need rust repair.
  10. Nothing like taking an already daunting task and making it even more difficult
  11. You bet. The XJ was a 313k mile trail rig, so I can't guarantee that it hadn't been messed with either, but I would doubt that it was being that 2nd gear was out of it and it had stock gearing. I don't think it was messed with at all, just was abused. Now that I think about it more, my 90 MJ (that I forgot I owned at one point in my earlier post) had an AX-15 and definitely did not have the cushion. Granted again, it was a 238k mile truck, but seemed all stock to me.
  12. I don't think that is for manual transmissions. When I pulled my AX-15 out of a 97 XJ, it didn't have that. My MJ has been probably 10,000 miles without one with no issue.

    Snow!

Same with WI. I’d say it has to be within the last decade or so. We’d usually get snow in early December, and now we barely had any snow this Christmas and it was all brown the year before that. But it seems to stick around longer too.
  14. Agreed. I couldn’t care less that it makes 500 hp at 7000 rpm. I want to know how much hp, and more importantly, how much torque I’m making between idle and 4000 rpm, where my vehicles all live. I drive a newer 4cyl vehicle when I’m at school. The darn thing doesn’t make power until after 4000 rpm, so I feel like I have to beat on it to keep up with traffic. I much prefer my I6s for daily driving.

    Snow!

I forgot you were up there for a while. Hopefully it thaws soon and the pipes are fine. I’m pretty sure pipes have to be buried 36” in WI to keep them below the frost line and the southern states don’t have that code.

    Snow!

Snow!?! That’s just a dusting! I hope everything is okay down there though. No frozen pipes or major accidents. Do they have a whole bunch of stuff shut down?
  17. They are editable forever
  18. That solves that problem!
  19. I like the way you’re setting this thread up. That’ll make it a lot easier for others wanting to reference this thread. What are you running for accessory brackets?
  20. The other problem I have heard a lot about is with flat tappet lifters. It sounds like quality has gone down a ton in the last four years. That said, I wouldn’t be afraid to slap in an NOS flat tappet cam.
  21. That’s a shame that the truck is gone with the family significance. Mine was a truck my grandpa started, but didn’t get a chance to finish. I think they’re one of the best looking pickups ever. Glad he ended up with your Willys.
  22. Welcome! @ghetdjc320 has spent time in Guam.
  23. I've had to reference this thread a couple of times recently, so I'm going to give it a little bump.

You can dye other interior pieces to match. I dyed a grey dash in my truck to match 3 years ago and its held up beautifully. I used SEM and a spray gun, but you can do aerosols as well. Here is a picture of my dye information Looks like the color code is 88P5: Here is a thread about the names of each of the colors and matching SEM dye in aerosol: And your idea with using 3M panel bond has been done. Be sure to use Key Parts floor pans, as they seem to fit the best. Here is a thread on doing that:
