  1. I’d be worried about the dimple dies letting dirt get in there and make it hard to get it out, but it would look good.
  2. It's really hard to say with out knowing how your truck is set up. It could be that the pinion angle is already not correct and maybe an XJ shackle would correct it. I'd steer clear of adjustable shackles. To me, they seem flimsy would have a lot of side to side deflection.
  3. That is one of the struggles of the MJ. Little cabs aren’t friendly for many bodies.
  4. Well, I was going to say that you should swap to an XJ shackle and pull a leaf, but they beat me to it. I agree, you’ve definitely got some sort of custom leaf pack.
  5. I dig it. Looks very much like a “day 2” modification.
  6. You’re running out of amenities to add . I enjoy seeing updates on this thread. It sure would look great hooked up behind the white truck too, like the pic in your sig.
  7. Nathan’s dad posted it on FB when they got the book finished. I think it’s about the restoration on the truck, but don’t remember for sure.
  8. That’s a lot of money
  9. Even the bench seats aren’t bad. I spent 4 hours on a very broken bench and wasn’t sick of it until well after the 3 hour mark. And the buckets are light years better than the benches.
  10. Nope, not without changing the trans output shaft or the t case input. They changed from 21 to 23 spline.
  11. I don’t think so. But you could probably find a 98-01 transmission and transfer case for a reasonable price.
  12. How much is it bouncing? Some of that is just old speedometer and speedometer cable.
  13. He’s got a point though. They had some of the coolest colors and coolest options available.
  14. Turns out it’s called the Slate truck. And supposedly it’ll cost under 20k. https://youtu.be/kWq3jhxOWUI?si=dsJUqelMLC4QRImZ
  15. It’s fairly common, it’s nothing I’d worry too much about.
  16. I just watched that one. I liked seeing Daimler get the finger.
  17. Sweet! Someone needs to grab these.
  18. Excellent question. The engine and trans dipsticks are van units, so they are both easy to get to from under the hood. The spark plugs and related bits will be easy to get to from under the cab, and for any other work, the frunk and doghouse are being built to be removable fairly easily. Not quite as easy as most old vehicles, but should be about as easy to work on as the 01 Silverado that was the donor chassis.
  19. The rest of the parts came in. The chassis is now rolling.
  20. Yes, that is the linkage I’m thinking about. I’m wondering if that metal bracket that holds the shifter cable somehow got bent too far.
  21. I can’t remember, is your truck an auto on the floor or an auto on the column? Also, is it a shift cable or rods for the linkage?
  22. I said the same thing once my Comanche was finished. I’m getting the itch again…
  23. I’d start by checking the shift linkage and see if it’s out of adjustment or something.
  24. Is the part that goes into the transfer case similar to the cable driven speedos where there are four different ways the gear could be positioned depending on the size of the gear?
  25. Oh, that's gross haha
