  1. What are your plans for the truck in the long term? That should dictate the route you go.
  2. It is very typical for a clutch fan to flow more CFM than an electric fan. For me, part of my overheating issue was the water pump. 4.0s just don’t seem to like high rpms for long periods of time.
  3. I’d check the fuel pressure at the rail before replacing anything.
  4. Very cool! I am not getting OH yet, but it’s something that I need to do. sorry to hear about the fire. That’s a nice one! We’ve got a friend that collects those Cubs. They are a very neat piece.
  5. I believe I can finally put this overheating issue to rest. The flowkooler water pump took care of it. Drove it 90 miles last night and it got warm, but I think there might’ve been an air pocket in the cooling system. Drove it 90 miles back home (same route as yesterday, just in the other direction), and it ran perfectly cool. Very satisfying to have this issue solved. And the buckets are so much more comfortable than the old bench.
  6. Looks like you were spotted.
  7. DOM is a better steel, but I don’t think you’d actually need it for what you’ve got planned. I’m sure there are plenty of people that wheel these Jeeps hard with stock stamped steel control arms. Heck, I’ve jumped one with stock arms and that end of the truck was fine.
  8. I’d start with replacing that line, like you’re thinking. The AX5 parts should work on your AX4.
  9. This is a good reference I’ve had saved for years.
  10. That’s lighter than I would’ve guessed. I suppose that aluminum LS saves a lot of weight
  11. Is that the color that @Limeyjeeper’s Comanche Dawn is?
  12. When was the last time it had an alignment? I’d suspect the alignment might be off or there is a worn steering component somewhere.
  13. Swapped the water pump to the new flowkooler. Seems to be much more efficient, but hard to say so far. The block looked great inside.

Welcome! Looks like you’ve got a nice Cherokee too.
  15. I’ve heard before that the new tanks don’t have that. I haven’t heard anything bad about them not having it, but I don’t have any firsthand experience with them either.

@GonzoTheGreat, can you confirm the ratio in the rear of your 2.5L auto truck? Disregard, I saw his comment on this thread.

Probably. YJs and TJs had 3 speed autos up to 2002.
  18. Some welds at the rear of the bed tying the bedsides together started cracking, so they got fixed, some gussets added, and now a tailgate is getting installed.
  19. Interior all back together. Unfortunate, the battery went bad though, so that needs replacing.
  20. Here’s the best photos I could get without having the adjustment handle. Looks more like the black seat cover.
  21. If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it’s a knock sensor.
  22. I’ll try to get some good ones shortly.
  23. I sure did and I’m getting ready to install them in the truck soon. Let me know if there’s anything in particular you need pics of.
  24. Not very often anymore that I do work to this thing and take pictures to prove it, but here we go. Pulled the dash to do the heater core because it puked coolant all over my carpet and got my seat brackets for the bucket seat swap all painted up.
