Do you know what brand your leafs are? Are you happy with their ride/hauling capacity?
-
Thanks. I think my issue was that I didn’t have the parking brake set.

Let’s go to the badlands sometime. I’ll even wheel the blue truck if it isn’t too gnarly.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get that NOS gate for?

I installed a different starter solenoid, and it is still not cranking. I will need to do some more digging a different day. I am assuming either this new starter solenoid (different brand before) is also bad, I must have broke a wire when I was hooking stuff back up.

1990 Jeep Comanche 2.1 renault manual transmission

Anything is possible with enough time and money. What purpose is the truck going to serve for you? -
A agree with the grey in the XJ. I think that either tan or grey would also be most common in the MJ. Grey seems to be the most common in 90-92 trucks.

I love the color matched grills and headlight bezels that the Eliminators had.

Looks like a good candidate just to make into a driver and use, or restore, or make into an offroad rig, it really looks like a great starting point no matter what you decide to do with it.

how many miles on your truck's factory engine?
89 MJ replied to Pete M's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think my 88 has the original motor and has 318,000 on it. I am going to try to get my blue truck to 500,000 someday, or more. -
parts and deals on Market place

@Jesse J, some inspiration for you -
I don’t think I need any parts, I was just seeing if you were going to have a swap spot.
-
They need to bring simplicity back, which will bring reliability back because there will be fewer things to go wrong.
-
I must have missed you. Are you going this year?
-
Meh. I’ll stick with my 4.0 MJ. It could do just about everything the GladiaTURD could do, just a little slower.

@eaglescout526 might be helpful with this.

I'm sure lots of them were scrapped with the Cash for Clunkers program or just plain scrapped and dealerships probably had a hard time selling these, so like some of the MOPAR aero cars (Superbird, Daytona), they were probably converted to the "normal" version and sold that way and the body kits just either went on the shelf or were tossed in the garbage.

I'm sure it was Chinese BS, but it was the only one they had in stock.

My dad has a YJ on 35s with a D30 and 8.8 (similar strength to the MJ D44) and a 5.3 and a 5 speed and 4.10 gears. It gets driven pretty hard, and we are yet to have an issue breaking axle parts. Both axles are bone stock. I get that the WJ is much heavier than the YJ though. I'm not sure what gears she has, but @Alexia has a 6.2 in her LJ and I haven't ready about breaking any parts in her LJ.

86 parts rig - Dana 44 and what is this bumper?
89 MJ replied to 88towmanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Looks like it has a lot of parts worth saving. I believe @eaglescout526 is looking for a bellhousing for an 84-86 with a 2.5 and a manual. If I were you, I'd take the parts off of it that you want and replace it with whatever extra parts that you have, then try to make it run and move and sell it. You could probably come out ahead on it then. -
They do look to be in very nice shape, I don't know if they are $100 per wheel nice though.
-
I had a very similar issue until I added my AAL. I would look into adding one if I were you.

I bought a brand new starter solenoid for my snow blower tractor, installed it, cranked the engine over, all seemed good. I went to clear snow with it 2 days later and the brand new starter solenoid had failed.
