  1. Agreed, it doesn't need to be something huge like a bumper or lift springs (although those would be very cool), but something along the lines of a shirt, a magnet, X% off of a purchase coupon, etc.
  2. When looking to buy an MJ, be sure to look at the condition of the body, check for rust and bodyfiller. These are 29 year old trucks at the youngest, so hidden damage is very possible.
  3. I think this is a great idea, it would give people more of an incentive to "apply" for MJOTM. Are you thinking that each month would get a prize or would a group of people go through the MJOTM threads every couple of months and pick out a winner from those? Also, are you talking about CC vendors or are you thinking that we should reach out to other vendors too? (Azzy's design, maybe get a coupon for Rusty's off road, etc), or a combination of both? Like I said, I love this idea, just trying to wrap my head around it a little bit more.
  4. That’s the one I want to get when I can sell my current red truck.
  5. It’s hard to beat the simplicity of the old CJs.
  6. Ooooooooo, that would be a fun rig. Dang near unkillable too.
  7. Those sound like some fun choices. Sounds like a bunch of vehicles that would all be pleasant to drive.
  8. Both of those sound like fun garages!
  9. I love learning about engines. Do you know some of the science behind this? If so, please explain.
  10. I had 2 eagles. Loved that car. I love the Orbit Orange, never really cared for the Carousel red. I know a guy with a J10 long bed (same wheelbase as a 20) Mopar or no car I see! Can’t say I blame you, they had some of the best. New Aston or old? Also, am I the only one that likes the 4 door Aston that they made? I absolutely LOVE the looks of the Hemi-head 429! Yes that was an unusual list, but there were a lot on there that I’d own too!
  11. I love the old AMC products. All of them.
  12. Those all sound like a hoot to drive!
  13. I haven't watched it yet. I will need to this afternoon/evening.
  14. That would be an AMAZING collection! I forgot about a Syclone and GNX! What color 70 Judge? A 440 Gremlin would be cool. I love those cars. That's a unique and cool selection!
  15. Unless it was the one that came in the GM trucks, then they had a different passenger side drop transfer case, but you can get an NP241C (IIRC) that will give you driver side drop, which you will need.
  16. Interesting, I believe the current estimate of total MJs is 200,000, then there are (or were) about 6,600 MT MJs, if the ratio stays the same. Jesse, believe it or not, but I had a very similar plan to you when I started on my MJ 3 years ago. It was going to be an offroad trail truck. Its funny how the project evolved. Its also kinda funny, when you look at the parts that you are currently looking for (adjustable control arms), its looking like, when phase 1 of yours is completed, we will have quite similar trucks.
  17. Well, I would, but I'm one of those weirdo MJ owners.
  18. You just need to put the registry in your signature and make people use that link instead of finding it all of the time.
  19. Was the 242 swapped in or could you get a 242 in an MJ from the factory? None of my XJs/MJs have had a 242, so I don't know much about them.
  20. When I made my comment 18 minutes ago. Whoops
  21. Thanks! I will definitely need to look into the local laws. Do you find them on Marketplace, Craigslist, or some other site? Most of the XJs in my region are turds.
  22. Any cars, any price range, what cars would you want in your garage? 1. My blue MJ 2. White MJ Eliminator 2wd with a 5.3 and a 5 speed 3. Red 4x4 MJ MT with a factory sportbar 4. Orbit Orange 70 Judge 5. Saturn Yellow 70 GSX 6. 69 Corvette with a 427 7. 65 Impala wagon with a 409/4 speed 8. 69 Charger 500 (Hemi and 4 speed of course) 9. 70 Superbird (Hemi and 4 speed) 10. 32 Ford 2 door sedan, stock 11. 75 GMC crew cab long bed SRW k30, big block, stick
  23. You seriously have no clue how jealous us rust belt MJ owners are of everyone else. Where I am, you see trucks that need their frames repaired with $200,000+ miles for $1,500.
  24. If a vehicle isn't rusty, its a perfect candidate for a restoration. When you restore a vehicle, you are replacing most of the high mileage parts anyways. If you read through my build thread, I did a restoration (actually more of a resto-mod) on my truck, and my truck was considerably worse off than your truck, granted, you do have higher mileage. Unless I find a good deal on a northern 2 door XJ or MJ, my next XJ/MJ restoration would be a high mileage southern/western truck because it is a lot easier to replace wear parts than body panels. That said, its your truck, and you want to wheel it, which is fine, I would wheel my blue truck too, I just haven't had an opportunity to yet, but my advice is don't cut the cab or bed at all.
