If what we have in the registry is an accurate representation (thanks @fiatslug87!), 1988 MJs accounted for nearly 25% of MJ production (286/1166=.245 or 24.5%). 1986s account for approximately 25% of MJ production (293/1166=.251 or 25.1%). That said, we do not know if the registry actually shows the ratio or not. It looks like 88s and 86s are equally common though.

Seeing as though it is an X model, its not very rare. But it could be fairly valuable based on its condition.

Well, I see it finally happened. I just saw on Facebook that FCA North America changed their name to Stellantis North America. The deal closed on Saturday. I wonder what this mean's for the future of Jeep? I know that our trucks are climbing in value, but I have a hard time believing that a 2wd with a salvage title will bring 8k. But I also know Californians are...unique, so who knows.

XJ hitches don't fit MJs and vice versa. @krustyballer16 makes new hitches, otherwise you will need to build one or find one in a junkyard.

Ok, any Comanche bucket seat (1986 to 1992) Will bolt right in, otherwise any Cherokee seat (1984-1994) will fit if you change the seat brackets. @krustyballer16 makes new seat brackets.

You have buckets and you want to keep buckets? The seat brackets are MJ specific. Otherwise, 2 door XJ seats are very similar, they just have different brackets. @Pete M, please move this to tech.

It came with the mirror that is on the driver side. I have some of those mirrors if you need a good set.
