  1. That same era Chevy pickups and Jeep J-Trucks will work too. You can also find some of those Squarebody pickups (starting in 84 for the c10 and k10, IIRC) with an overdrive transmission, so those ones will more than likely have a slightly different indicator, but I could be wrong on that.
  2. I think that you are probably fine. Mine doesn't even run at 210 in the summer (it does run near there though), but I do have a bigger radiator than stock. The Eagle also sits about 180 since I have been driving it from October-present.
  3. Can confirm, we have a 44x63 and it is pretty much full. To be fair, my dad does work out of there for one of his jobs, but we all wish it was bigger at times.

I am curious as to how it would respond to throttle and braking of the vehicle. I'm sure they would have some sort of braking system wired in, much like modern trailers (maybe regenerative braking??? That would be handy), but I would be curious as to how it would sense the throttle. Obviously the trailer would have to be "pushing" at the same speed, so maybe there would need to be another plug added and it would tell the vehicle speed. What about someone putting larger tires on the truck and that throwing the speedometer off? I assume that would just have to be recalibrated for the larger tires, much like how we have to change speedometer gears. I also cannot help but wonder how this would affect load capacity. As we know with pickups, the more the truck weighs, the less it can haul (if we are talking apples to apples trucks, model wise). I would assume that they same things applies for trailers. This seems like more people may need to be getting their CDL if they consistently haul near the max, but the weight of the trailer would put them over (though I would assume that most would already have their CDL in that case). All in all, I do think it could work though.
  5. Looks like a good truck. Someday I want an MT LWB to go with my regular SWB truck.
  6. Well, in the past few months, I’ve had a couple of people asking if I’d sell the truck, and how much it would take. The most recent one was yesterday. Both times I’ve had to tell them know. Sure, could I sell it and make some money? That answer is yes, but I would then go out and buy another one and build it very similarly. Really, there is no suitable replacement for these trucks, after I have thought about it for a while.
  7. My truck is on about a 3” with 31s. if you want to run an OEM Jeep wheel, you can run 31s with no lift and WJ LCAs. If I were to build one of these trucks again though, I’d build it very similarly, suspension wise. I did an AAL in the rear (from a set of XJ 4.5” lift springs, or somewhere near there), and a set of unknown brand 3” lift coils.
  8. Very entertaining read
  9. Looks like it’s the week after All Breeds. Makes for a long time in the vehicle, but it would be quite an epic road trip, regardless of vehicles.
  10. The main show will be the 30th. It is located in Kenosha. I am hoping to be able to go to this and bring both my MJ and Eagle. Details: https://facebook.com/events/s/2022-kenosha-homecoming-car-sh/297474504263495/
  11. The tacked panel does not get in the way of the air saw. You want it so the blade is riding right next to it, this leaves a little gap for the weld to penetrate. You could go cut, tack, cut, tack, but you must make sure that you can get the cut piece out. I’d recommend cutting the tacks off once you have the trimming done in order to get the trimmed metal out.
  12. I’d buy the Key Parts patches. Thread on rust repair: You can also check out my build thread for more rust repair info. Since bodywork and paint will be next:
  13. Thanks guys! I have not heard anything about it not taking standard D30 gears. I’ll double check though.
  14. Is there a good place that I should buy low pinion D30 gears from? I’ve heard of a few okay places, but I wanted to see if there is a solid consensus that I have just missed. Or any places to stay away from? Same with brand, any good or particularly bad brands? Note: Before I hear it for gearing a low pinion axle, I should note that this is for the Eagle, which had a low pinion IFS.
  15. I'd love to see the supercharged Renix 4.0. Would you keep the Renix system if you did?
  16. Wow, not what I was expecting. Glad you still have the other one, but does this change that trucks plans?
  17. Have any of those trucks been found?
  18. Found some from 500 MJ

Someone had fun with the spray bomb.
  20. Because 10 slots are cooler.
  21. I have heard that you could get a Ranger with 4.56s in an 8.8, but I’ve never seen one. You may want to look at an 8.8 out of an Explorer Sport-Trac. They are about the same width as your current MJ rear axle (a regular Explorer 8.8 is over 1” narrower, IIRC) and they came with either 3.73s or 4.10s. They did have drum brakes though.

    Well, damn....

I had it here a couple of weeks ago. I lost my sense of taste and smell, still don’t have it back. The rest of my family had it too. For us, it felt like a head cold. No shot for us either, we know more people who have had it that have the shot and boosters than those who don’t. I will add though, the shot definitely does have its place.
  23. Can you post up some pics when you have time? That would help us tell you what more should be pulled.
  24. Thank you for getting them sent out so quick!
  25. Thank you! Your truck will look great with one too!
