  1. My buddies store has a very old set on the shelf if you have any interest..
  2. Maybe later cherokees had top mounted fuel pumps but the ones up until 96 were similar as they mounted more to the side of the tank. You're right about the tank itself though but there's quite a few people who have put cherokee senders into mj tanks. The biggest problem most seem to discover is the xj sender is shorter and won't sit to the bottom of the tank qnd other times it's just the orientation of the metal lines for the sender need tweaking. So there is a possibility that there could be a cherokee sender in there.
  3. I didn't see the radiator so good catch lol Still no overflow tank though.
  4. Well that is good news! But until then it will still sadly be a struggle for some
  5. I don't know about repairing that connector but MTS makes new sending units for our truck. Providing yours is not a 91 or 92 that is
  6. Yikes, the rear window market is about to get pricey. I was lucky and found someone with a cr Lawrence 3 pane slider that I have tucked away. Guess I won't sell it after all lol
  7. I think crown or omix Ada might be the only ones that make them. https://www.quadratec.com/p/crown-automotive/front-door-check-arm-assembly-jeep-cherokee-xj?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8_qRBhCXARIsAE2AtRYo3awFwK1jbzO8Rt-hX5jWNfsuX3Xb_gX0VXUBKKEt1cpxClkjqXsaAqqiEALw_wcB Should be able to find the bracket and pin on there as well
  8. I wouldn't say more than $500. And then you can part it out and get some money back when you have pulled all you need
  9. True I didn't really think about that. I was thinking the other way around haha
  10. The 88 cherokee harness will work just fine for the comanche, providing they are both the same trans type. Auto or manual. As for the 86 I don't see anything out of the ordinary as far as wiring and such goes. There are some added wires but everything else looks pretty good. What's wrong with the carb on it?
  11. I wouldn't say q tailgate is q necessity in repairing these trucks. It's nice to have but not really needed per say. As for tail lights if you have the housings key parts makes lenses to glue onto the housings to restore them. Floors are fairly easy and cherokee floor panels will work with very minor tweaking. The carb for the 2.8 is easy as it's just a verajet 2 carb. i may have one in my garage. Check out kody Kilmer, he will have all the other pieces you need for the 88. Or post up a wanted post and someone elseqy have things on here. All in all they don't sound like hard projects. Id keep them seperate and fix them both up. I can also get you photos of the 86 2.8 engine bay as mine is an 86 2.8 as well. Whatever photos you may need.
  12. What is wrong with both of them? I'd try qnd save them both and get them running. Sad to see potentially good ones go to parts when they are starting to get hard to find.
  13. Sure thing. It looks like a good project. Love the color.
  14. That aluminum radiator! I wanted one for my mj and could not find one. If you don't use it let me know I'd be interested.
  15. I just bought a Mexican blanket style cover for mine lol my seat was fine but I wanted to protect it as its a black bench seat
  16. I would probably get a dash harness from a 96 xj and throw it in and work with that to get your truck working properly. Plus it will give you obd2 diagnostics as well. Just my suggestion
  17. Where is it located specifically?
  18. The tailgate is in the background too
  19. A seam splitter/spot welded separator is quite a handy tool to have for projects you don't want to be damaging pinch welds on. I'm using it to skin an mj bed.
  20. Unfortunately sold long ago
  21. I happen to have one in my spare bed. Looks like this though Scaley but not rotted.
  22. And as you can see.. fitment.. is not going so well. I can almost fit my finger in that gap..
  23. And that kind of puts us up to speed on where I have left off. Dry fitting panels and seeing how things look. I did weld in the seat brace but I'm not sure where the photos on that are. You can see the passenger side in the photo. The black square on the silver floor.
