Zooming in kind of potatoed the photo but where I circled is where your map sensor is located. Indicating a 97+ harness/ throttle body and probably engine as well

Mobile down the road from my house, which actually has fair prices is 3.99 for 87 and I just paid 4.59!!! A gallon for diesel!!! In Massachusetts by the way Found a station About 20 minutes out that was 3.89 for diesel on Tuesday. But God only knows how much that's jumped up since then.

It's definitely the old 95 style that has the map sensor on the firewall. The 97 style had them next to the throttle body. My brother had a 98 cherokee. I used to have a 96. It all definitely starts to blur together after a while. Haha

Unfamiliar to me. And wasn't in the registry either. I just hope doesn't go to a yard. There's quite a few bids on it right now.

It's not the super rare ram 1500 package comanche?! That's okay, even without the cleaning up I could figure out what didn't belong. Haha
-
That would take a lot of work. And time. You know what, I forgot I have a copart account. I may have forgot my password but that's another issue. As soon as I get my account straightened out I'll get that full vin.
-
Thanks for the option breakdown! And all the other ones for that matter too.
-
Hahaha I don't blame you, main point is another one found.

COPART AUCTION Sorry can't get the rest of the vin on this one.. Long Beach CA Olympic edition! She's rough though. Someone put her through the ringer. Ugly exhaust wtf?? Ruined interior. https://www.copart.com/lot/69520571/salvage-1988-jeep-comanche-pioneer-ca-long-beach

Worth a shot to try and get whole! At the very least you can say you tried instead of wishing you did right? If that front license plate bracket is metal thats pretty rare

The whole thing looks really clean! Qnd that gold is pretty. I'd save the whole thing if possible. Always a sad sight to see then in yards.

My 86 has factory CAD. Or are you meaning 84? But fair point either way. -

Does it have a center axle disconnect on the passenger side of the axle tube? -
Will an 87 xj TCU work in my 87 comanche?

I would imagine so. If they are both aw4's maybe just compare the part numbers -

Yes you want to knock out that roll pin. If you have a screwdriver or something small enough you just tap it out with that and a hammer. -
I went looking for an xj overhead console but there were none. There were a few zj overhead consoles but I don't think they would work

You are down the road from me! I'm in lowell. Nice to see a fellow mj owner close by

I may have a line on a short bed tailpipe local to me (mass) I can look into it. I just recently helped someone with a 2.8 mj Y pipe that was discontinued.
-
I'm going to attempt to make a trip to a local yard tomorrow as the weather will be nice, I know exactly what you are looking for and if I go I'll see what I can find

It looks like the interior is 96 swapped but the drivetrain honestly looks like it's a 97+ The ecu looks like one from a later style xj with the metal case. The 96 used the plastic case for the ecu and one plug instead of 3? It has. It might be the 97+ harness in the engine bay and 96 harness in the cab and they aren't compatible? Or someone has modified and done a really good job making it look factory
-
You going to save them both?
