  1. No the 2.1 and 2.5 were different animals completely. You are right about the 2.5 and 4.0 though.
  2. Maybe you could reach out to hot wheels or matchbox and see if they can make a one off or small batch?
  3. Maybe the track bar bracket?
  4. Freshening up a junkyard mystery 350 for a family members rv.
  5. Clean then good, scuff them the best you can with red scuff or some sandpaper and use self etch primer first! Otherwise it will eventually just peel.
  6. Sounds like you have a 4 speed. As long as your mj is newer than 86 and it's not a manual it's a 4 speed. You could also count the shift points the next time you drive it or upload a photo of your transmission
  7. These rams are super tough and durable. My dad's is an 09 about to hit 300k miles Which is part of the reason I wanted to get one myself.
  8. Thank you! The bed is actually plenty of space for me. My dad has owned one since new from 2009 and it's been plenty useful to him. Unfortunately the mj is off the road and I didn't have any other trucks to use. I went stir crazy not having a truck so I'm thinning the fleet and bought this haha
  9. I don't mess with the air ride much anyway so even if it freezes up it will be on the mid level setting. Not a concern for me. But good to know, will have to be mindful of that. Thank you
  10. Before I bought it I had the salesman run the vin and supposedly it's a clean history for accidents and recalls. I wanted to make sure if there were any recalls that were done or needed to be done before I bought it. But I also have a powertrain warranty that covers engine, drivetrain, gaskets and seals and even the turbo in case anything goes wrong. I'm not taking any gambles here.
  11. So my brother last week went to test drive a few rams at a dodge dealer up the road from me after I drove him to get his car from service. Well.. i tagged along and one of the trucks he test drove I fell in love with in the passenger seat. And so one thing led to another and I just sort of ended up with it haha The exterior is okay, solid black with lots of chrome. But the interior is what really sold me. Fancy longhorn interior was gorgeous! Loaded to the gills with options, rear window defrost, power slider, rear heated seats, heated/ vented front seats, heated steering wheel, air ride. The list goes on. Oh! And it's a diesel! 3.0 turbo diesel. The price point was good too considering the market so I'm happy to have scooped it. And I found the original window sticker in the glove box!!! I just wanted to show off the new ride.
  12. Number 7 and 11 are the same on your list. Unless you're planning on changing tranny fluid twice lol Also I love that two tone black red look. You putting the red stripe back on or leaving it solid black?
  13. Well.. it's not the greatest meaning.. but there's a chance it could be saved and used again.
  14. Of course! Would hate to hear something awful happen to anyone on here
  15. Honestly I really couldn't say, but you never know. I figured I'd meantion that just so that you are aware and can be cautious of potential fumes.
  16. I have read that electrolysis on Chrome is dangerous. It will give off deadly chemical fumes from the plating. I got curious about it and Google it cause I was curious if it was possible or safe.
  17. That will be a good look! You going to get the euro style front markers too?
  18. Darker orange and doesn't have that little reflective patch the US ones have towards the top where the light goes
  19. They are for sure Non import. Import.
  20. They seem like a much darker orange. It's definitely different
  21. If you don't mind them being aftermarket crown sells them new https://www.quadratec.com/p/crown-automotive/side-marker-housing-jeep-cherokee-xj-export
  22. I have dome a lot more work to it than this. I just haven't taken any more photos. Front lower control arms were so shot the metal sleeve just fell out of the bushings. So they were replaced. I ended up patching another piece of the floor on the driver side for the seat brace. I fixed a botched wiring job/repair someone did. At one point in time it had a viper security system.. for whatever reason? it already had one factory.. but they cut it out and left nubs of wires and soldered wires wrapped in electrical tape. So one at a time I cut soldered and heat shrunk and wrapped the whole loom in electrical tape. The fenders were fully secured, front skid plate, tcase skid, power antenna, I started installing the wheel liners too. I took it for a good long drive yesterday and both me and the jeep got to experience deathwobble for the first time! 65-70 was a no go. So cruised at 60 while I pondered what could be causing it.. Still don't have an answer but I'll be checking things and getting an alignment in the hopes that's the issue. And about 20 minutes home from its voyage the front left caliper started sticking bad. You could smell the scorched rotor. So I have to address that now too. And the vehicle display was being buggy so I pulled that out to reflow the soldered spots and changed two expanded capacitors. It's been a long road but the list is getting smaller
  23. Shmootsed the rocker with some mud And ground down and sealed the unibody with some sem rust encapsulater. Kinda clear and thick qnd sticky like honey and will run down your hands if your not careful lol I seam Sealed and coated it too with some undercoat. Another spot I was aware of that I couldn't leave be was the left rear wheel well area. Which turned out to be more than I though it was. Like this whole project has been.. lol This turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be and I was happy with the results. I did grind, seam seal and coat the outside, I didn't leave it with visible welds but I don't have a photo of that. Reassembly! Took some time to clean up and out somoof it as I put it back together. The door panel is one of several spares I have for this jeep. And have to say.. Even with the mess.. I still love this interior.
  24. I guess I missed a photo on the firewall repair? That was actually a tough spot to do not going to lie. But, burned it in, sleep it up and coated it. Back to the rocker! If you twist your head upside down you can see rocker patches and pieces being cut out. I also finished up the unibody
  25. Thank you! Not even done the photo dump on progress. Haha
