  1. Come here! Be nice to have another MJ owner out here.
  2. Yeah again I am not familiar with their rules and laws. Guess you could always do a setup where you drop in an air box, run some vac lines and have it to where it works as it should, then swap back to the cold air intake.
  3. Makes sense. Vac lines can be relatively easy to figure out. Which era and engine do you have? Renix or HO? Most of the lines seem to come back around to the stock air box. There’s two bigger holes for bigger hoses. One on the back of the lid and one on the side or the tube to the throttle body depending on the Year of the truck. Some smaller lines might also plug into the box depending on the year and engine. Just noticed the title. But has the engine been swapped for a newer setup?
  4. Solution-leave California. No smog tests :). Now someone in cali correct me if I’m wrong but I thought commiefornia doesn’t allow any mods to the fuel/emissions system and have to keep everything stock. Real question is what is stopping your truck from passing?
  5. Love listening to Buddy Holly. One of his thats my favorite is "That'll be the Day", such a classic 50's song. Wish I had an oldies station that still played stuff of that vintage so cruising in my T-bird would be more enjoyable. Now I am not incredibly religious by any means but a good song that gets me in a good cruising Jeep mood is Burning Bridges by the Mike Curb Congregation used in the movie Kelly's Heroes. Only because of the opening sequence of the movie.
  6. I would take one if I could ever find one. I found one a while back on FB market place that said Comanche on it and I messaged the seller if he had it. Said yes and asked if $50 was still the asking price and the munch never got back to me.
  7. The black vent panel on the sides behind the door.

You would think the smell alone would be enough of a deterrent for inhaling fumes.

WTH?! Thats a first by me. Spray paint I get. But RTV? Who, how and why? Aside from that I don't get how rain leaks from that hole for the antenna wire. But all I can think is it would have to be something slow like water running down the wire but even then the boot would still have to stop it whether its in the panel or not. But I also live somewhere where water is surprisingly not the same value as gold yet.
  10. Perfect profile picture right there. Even luckier!

I had and issue like that back in March. Quickly prompted me to tear everything out, patch up the floor on the drivers side(nice clean frame rail though) and replace the door weather strips. Seemed to have solved my problem after rigorous drenching to see if it would leak again anywhere else before installing the interior again.
  12. That shot makes me want my brush guard more. Almost looks like that commercial with the black MJ in front of a train crossing.
  13. Interesting take on the factory bumper.
  14. I’ve seen a few MJs that had both liner variants and for sale before. Funny you should mention that. The JTs bedliners just say Jeep on them.
  15. Lol. It looks like you have the later style visor. I am unsure of what the connector is for those lights.
  16. Do take a pic of it. Looks like they put on OEM end caps so it could be the factory accessory bumper.
  17. Base. The only bumper that is made aftermarket is the FEY bumper. Bumper deletes would have a license plate light on the panel behind the bumper itself. I would suspect that dealers would just throw on those FEY bumpers back in the day to sell a customer some piece of mind with a rear bumper rather than a bumper delete option unless the customer really wanted that.
  18. Shoot I totally forgot you responded to this. It depends. I have never seen a visor plug on the drivers side, doesn’t mean there isn’t but if you can find the same plug that’s on the passenger side which is a 2 pin metri-pack connector, then I can whip up one.
  19. Neat!! I’ll take a look there too. Already been browsing squarebirds or something like that for a bit.
  20. It’s tempting to want the brackets.
  21. Lol starparts is showing me a much shorter list. It’s a really base sporTruck. I mean being an 87 2.5L with a four speed sends of the really base MJ alarm.
  22. Soon I will be back at this car. Grandparents will be home this week and I’ll be able to spend a weekend over there just wrenching away at that car. Anyone have any tips with the Ford 352’s that I should know?
  23. Ohhhhh yeah. Love me some good AMC anarchy.
  24. Who doesn’t love a good smell of melting electrical.
